This pre-recorded, 10-hour, workshop series, begins with a two-hour lecture on subtle anatomy, discussing how prana manifests in the microcosm of the body and the macrocosm of the cosmos. We will cover how prana moves through the subtle pathways, called nadis, and is given predisposition by life force centers, called chakras. The purpose and practice of pranic valves or locks called bandhas will also be covered.

The remaining four sessions will employ pranayama and the pranic model of asana to put this information into practice.

This workshop is best suited to students with at least a year of consistent practice.

KIM SCHWARTZ has studied and taught Hatha Yoga for more than four decades. His lifelong passion for mystical truth led him to become ordained as a swami of the Temple of Kriya in Chicago. He was elevated to the position of Maha Swami in the Kriya lineage, enabling him to ordain others as swamis. Kim was director of the Temple’s Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Program before moving to New Mexico, where he continues to lead High Desert Yoga’s Teacher Training Program.

Releasing pain, relinquishing anxiety, no longer holding on to tension- We often ask but how? And in truth, it is as effortless as simply letting go.

Practice offers many avenues within the self to arrive at greater restorative self, ability, revelation, and arrival within the body, mind, and Being. We begin uncovering the Being and learn to opportune the Being vs responding to the circumstance of life. We gain leverage within ourselves by becoming organized in the body, mind and Being. From the point of centering, the event of life unfolds to our choosing; in enjoyment, value, consideration, appreciation leading to satisfying contentment. These are elements of peace- They are an awareness of the moment that with the right attention, deepens, into a vast pool of tranquility.

Arriving in the asana, and holding the asana brings us to these revelation; transcendence. The are art of Being and allowing.
