New Mexico Ballet Company would like to wish a very happy birthday to contract dancer and school instructor, Claire Peoples! Claire is in her third season with NMBC and has been featured in many of the company’s productions including the Lion in The Wizard of Oz this past Spring! In addition to dancing with the company, Claire’s love for dance can be seen in the care and dedication she has with her students at NMBC School! We are so grateful for her sharing her passion for dance with our student and community! Please join us in wishing her a great day!

NMBC School’s Spring Recital is the annual performing opportunity for all students to demonstrate their progress made during the year and passion for dance on stage with their peers.

New Mexico Ballet Company would like to wish an extra Happy Birthday to contract dancer and instructor Amanda Rohr! A valued member of NMBC, Amanda's talent and passion can be seen both on and off stage. From teaching many of NMBC School's adult ballet classes to originating many roles in the company's original productions such as Alice in Alice in Wonderland, Jasmin in Aladdin and the Magic Lamp, and various principal roles in the Nutcracker Ballet, Amanda is an inspiration to so many within the dance community! Please join us in wishing her all the best!

Happy holidays! We hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas, and we can’t wait to be back with you January 6th!

Join us for winter break drop in classes. NMBC school levels 3 and up can take advanced ballet. Normal drop in rates apply. ⛄️

The legacy that NMBC carries would not be possible today without the support of every dancer that has come through its doors, every teacher and director who has helped shape the company, every volunteer who has donated their time, every supporter of the arts who has found a way to share with us from near and far, every patron of the arts who has attended a show, and now YOU!

Thanks to supporters like you, NMBC can continue to offer the community the best in performance and training. Will you help us? Any amount will help us provide scholarships to children who may be new to dance or to those dancers whose dreams are to perform on stage; it will help us continue to create and promote professional and innovative dance productions for New Mexico audiences while providing the highest caliber of education and training for young artists in the community.

Due to recent weather events, NMBC has decided to close and cancel all classes Thursday Nov 7th. Happy snow day!

Halloween week at NMBC is just around the corner! Mon October 28 through Saturday November 2nd, we welcome students to wear festive attire to classes.

Please make sure costumes allow for full movement during class and vision isn’t obstructed.

We can’t wait to see your costumes!

We are so excited to announce that Sarah Schafer will be joining us as an instructor starting October 13th! Sarah will teach Monday level 5 ballet and pointe, Mon adult pointe, and Sunday Comapany class. Sarah has joined us as a guest instructor for numerous NMBC summer intensives, and we are thrilled to welcome her back to Albuquerque!

New Mexico Ballet Company would like to wish a very special Happy Birthday to contract dancer and school instructor, Madyson Kettler! Madyson is a valued member of our company whose infectious positivity helps to inspire her fellow dancers and students alike! Jacque has been a valuable part of NMBC for years performing in productions, creating and teaching curriculum for our Creative Movement and Pre-Ballet classes, and leading our board!
