Having a baby that is “too big” is not as common as it’s often made out to be….
I am passionate about childbirth! As a labor Doula I provide both physical and emotional support during labor and the immediate postpartum period.
I love the power of a laboring woman, finding her strength as she enters motherhood.

A doula can help you navigate all of the information out there about inductions. Your doula can assist you in making an informed decision about your care by providing evidence based information specific to your pregnancy.
Thank you! Breastfeeding Mama Talk this Is spot on!!
Breastfeeding is a skill—not a switch you flip
Yes, it’s natural. No, that doesn’t mean it’s easy.
There were days I cried more than the baby. Days I googled “Is my baby starving?” 14 times before breakfast. And nights I stared at the ceiling wondering if I was doing something wrong.
But here’s what I wish more people knew: struggling at first doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you’re learning. Your baby is learning. And it’s okay if it takes time.
You don’t need to “just switch to formula” the second it gets hard—unless you decide that’s what’s right for you.
If no one else says it today: you’re doing an incredible job. It’s okay to struggle. You’re not alone.
Keep going, mama. You’ve got this.

TENS units. Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation. Used in labor to help reduce pain sensation. This is the correct placement for labor. The nerve endings around our spine are thin and wet. Transferring information quickly to our brain. The nerves in our uterus are thicker and drier. Transmitting signals slower. The idea here is to stimulate the brain to pay attention to what’s going on on your back instead of on your contractions. The TENS does not stop pain or make anything numb it simply “tricks” our brain into focusing on the sensation on our back instead of our contraction. The use of a TENS unit during labor reduces the need for an epidural by 85%. Did you use a tens for your labor?

C sections. For some they are the dreaded outcome after hours of labor. For others they are a medically safe option when a vaginal birth isn’t safe for mom and/or baby. Sometimes a c section is chosen and scheduled after a highly traumatic first birth. My point is, there is no right or wrong way to have a baby. There is no map or plan that will get you a guaranteed outcome. I can only say that I am always grateful for the advances in medicine and care that are available to us in the instances when intervention is required. This birth was a hurdle and a victory for this mama and I’m so glad that I was able to witness her strength in bringing a sweet little girl into the world!! Welcome little one!!!

Breastfeeding basics!! It’s normal to feel contractions as baby latches and starts a feed those first couple weeks postpartum! Breastfeeding helps involution take place! Helps get your uterus back to pre baby size!
