Frame #15 Chainstays
I've been 4 months out of the saddle when it comes to welding but I didn't do too terribly. This is a personal singlespeed for myself to rip around on during the winter.
This frame also incorporates my MTB yoke that provides maximum tire (at least 29x2.6) and chainring clearance (36/38t), while being lightweight (170g) and affordable for the everyman builder. Not everything needs to be 3d printed.
Strato DSO-22 dropouts are also featured. These fit inserts from and .cycle.supply. The dropouts feature a nice wide and thicker fl**ge to weld 3/4 tubing to and the fl**ge is offset to make a stronger rear triangle. These will be in the next update!
Front triangle will be welded tomorrow!

New Tool Day
When my material supplier takes a month to process my order, I had to take things into my own hands. You're looking at the creme de la creme of harbor freight tools right here. It's the ubiquitous 4x6 red bandsaw that is relieving my tired portaband.
I should have bought one two years ago when they were half the price... At least it cuts straight out of the box...

Opening day at Angel Fire was a success! It was a day trip with the bros to catch all the trails before the breaking bumps get worn in. Trails were running fine and sending until they weren't.
First time riding park on my hardtail and I don't think I need a full squish anymore. Escaped the day with only 1 cracked rib!
Shout out to my buddy .fjc who rode all day on a totally badass retro Schwinn Straight 8, a bike from 2001!

Frame #13 is off to the powdercoater! This is an XL hardcore hardtail for a riding buddy of mine. Specs include a modern 63° HTA, 76° STA, 496mm reach, 29x2.6" tire support, etc.
This frame is built to survive the toughest riding, with large diameter tubing front and rear, awesomely bent up with the Toob Bender and features his CNC'd chainstay yokes as well. Shout out to for the moral support throughout. Forever thanks to and for the bits and bobs that pretty much every framebuilder relies on.
Who wants one next?

Had an awesome time walking around the shop and seeing the process! Shout out to Ashley for letting me wander around and for letting me come up to the shop.
Definitely a goal shop and it's funny how common of tooling all us framebuilders have. Spotted some tooling from and the ubiquitous banners and tubing. headbadges and parts also were oalso present.
This was an awesome birthday trip with biking around Boulder today and capping it with the Reeb tour and beer at .

Frame #14 is ready for powdercoating. This frame is for myself and a replacement for the frame #7 enduro hardtail I made a little over a year ago. This frame is beefier, longer, slacker, and incorporates all the skills and improvements I've made over the last year as a framebuilder.
Some geo numbers - HTA: 61, STA: 78 Reach: 520mm! CS: 435mm, designed around a 170mm Lyric fork.
Shout out to , , and for the tubing, tools, and odds and ends needed to make this frame happen.

First ride reports from are that the bike rides awesomely. I love the look of sliding dropouts and the belt. Lots of small stuff going into this frame to make that belt drive work.
Shout out to for the yoke inspiration and groundwork. And to and for building it up right. The red powdercoat and tan sidewalls are a match made in heaven.

Ready for powdercoating! This was a fun build for and features a custom chainstay yoke made out of 3/16" 4130 cromoly plate (inspired by ) , seat stay splitter, laser cut cable ports (thanks ), and a bunch of other goodies.
This 29er frame was designed around 2.6" tires and a belt drive system. Thanks to the yoke, the bike can fit a 2.6" tire and a 42 tooth belt drive cog! Dropouts are VGS sliders from along with most of the tubing, further bent with my Toob bender
I'll post the final pictures once it's powdercoated red and built up by
