So about a year and a half ago I quit going to my favorite little gym up here in the east mountains because their schedule changed and it just didn’t work for my schedule. Needless to say, after searching for months for the kind of gym I liked, I gave up and basically gave up on working out. I became lazy and my diet got worse and I gained 20lbs!!! Yes 20lbs! I weighed as much as when I was pregnant with my kids. I was frustrated but wasn’t doing anything about it. I have known about TFW since Vicente opened up, but I kept saying it was just too far for me to go to work out everyday. Well, I saw one of his posts for a “free” 6 week challenge. I talked to my sister, Tanya and told her we needed to do it. We both came up with a million reasons why we shouldn’t but we went in for the orientation and decided to do it. Then my husband decided he wanted to do it also. It was a special food plan and a minimum of 3 workouts per week at TFW. The food plan was a little hard just because I’m not use to eating 3 meals a day. I would just eat one huge dinner! The work outs were/are my kind of work outs. I was hooked the first day! Not only were the trainers there (Vicente, Gina, Cam, Sal, Trish) amazing an supportive, but literally every member there was and is! Everyone is at a different level of fitness, so I didn’t worry about not lifting as much or not keeping up with some. And every workout, people are encouraging each other. I have met and made new friends and reconnected with old ones. I look forward to going to the gym again. It is far for me to drive to, but I have made it a priority. I met my 6 week challenge goal but I have a long way to go. I’m not back down to the weight I want to be at, but I feel better than I have in a while.
