Haven't posted in forever, but it's medal Monday, and I have my first official 50 mile finisher's medal from Canyonlands 50 miler! It's my second 50 miler, but first official finish and with a big PR! Thank you, Kylie, from for all of your help! And thank you, Jesus, for bringing running into my life, for allowing me to run this race, and for helping me to finish strong! We can all do hard things when we are willing to put in the work!

Hike to my brother's memorial in the Sandias. Almost 12 miles, 3741 feet of climbing. A beautiful day spending time with some of my kids.

Finished my 4th official 50k this past Saturday. Really enjoyed the course. The volunteers were amazing and so encouraging! Got a 7 minute PR for this race. Last long training run done, now to taper for the real race!

Spent my birthday weekend running Vacation Races Antelope Canyon. It was an epic adventure! Way more than I was expecting! The most difficult course I've ever run. There was miles of sand, amazing slot canyons, narrow spaces, many tall ladders, my first rappelling and cable descent experiences. Met an amazing ultra running Mom that gave me huge moral support on the scary and difficult parts. So glad to have made a new ultra runner friend, a total God send. Not many better ways to turn 58. Did not get my 50 miler yet but completed my 4th 50k, with 4+ extra miles for a distance PR. A day I'll never forget!😊🏃♀️➡️💪

Been a while since I've posted! Been busy training. Today was my longest training run ever. And after I was still able to get cleaned up and go get a burger and walk the mall with my daughter. Win/win! Definitely a steps record! It was a beautiful day for a long run! Warm this afternoon though. Now to taper. 💪🏃♀️🌻

Felt tired going into this run. It was a very busy week and I definitely didn't eat well or enough. But pushed through and got a very slow 12 miles done on the Bosque Loop. Glad I made myself get out and do it. It was a wonderful time to pray and mentally regroup.

Had a wonderful day yesterday driving to Los Alamos in the fog and getting to run Jemez Mountain Trail Run 15 miler. My first year running this race and thoroughly enjoyed it. The switchbacks were definitely a challenge but also fun making our way up into the clouds. Then once on top of the ridge, the sun came out and got the fog to lift so the second half was sunny and we had some views. Thankful that I moved my way up through the waitlist and had the opportunity to run this race. Hope to be back in the future. Finished off the day driving back home, getting cleaned up, and doing a really fun escape room with some of my kids. All in all a great day! Very blessed!

Praising the Lord today that I ran and finished Cedro Peak 50k today! I didn't know 2 months ago if I'd be able to get there today, having sprained my ankle and had to take 5 weeks off of running. Even with those lost training runs and having recently recovered from an injury I was able to show up and get it done! And it was the hardest course I've run so far, very rocky in many areas and almost 3300 ft of accent. It made such a huge difference running with other people, Denise and Kevin from our running group! The time and the distance felt like it went by much quicker with them along!
