𝗪𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸.

Think about everything good you have in your life.

Your job where you get to lead a team of A-players and provide a valuable service to clients.

Your beautiful partner who you love and adore.

Your healthy children who are well-behaved and will become model citizens.

All of these things took time, effort, and overcoming of obstacles.

You inherently know this, and you've probably told many people in your life that good things take time.

Now, why the hell do you say screw it and abandon ship every time you don't lose 20lbs in 3 weeks?

Did you really think you were going to eat a few chicken breasts, a little bit of broccoli, and spend a total of 183 minutes on the elliptical to have your dream body?

Sit down and listen up, it's time for a heart to heart.

Your expectations are your problem.

When you think of your dream body or fitness level, you have to REALLY understand that it takes time... like, a lot of time.

When you look at someone who you admire and want to strive to be like, you have to understand they've worked way harder, for way longer, and gone through way more hardships than you'll ever know.

So next time you're disappointed the scale hasn't moved in a week, or you feel like your clothes only fit slightly better than last month, or you're only lifting 5lb more since you started... cut that negative thinking out.

Progress takes time, so you need to acknowledge the little wins, and then keep being consistent or you'll never see the big wins.

Plateaus happen, that's a guarantee... but chances are you're not even at one.

Unless you've been 100% consistent for at least the last 6 weeks and seen not one single bit of progress, then you're not at a plateau and you need to keep going... plus, 6 weeks of 100% consistency is amazing and that's progress in and of itself.

Cut out that negativity you tell yourself about how you wish you were, or should be further along.

You're right where you need to be, and you need to keep going.

You've got this!
