Happy 4th of July everyone! Have fun and be safe...
We finally have the green light to resume practices! We hope to start getting everything going June 29th week! So be on the look out for emails, texts or calls from your managers. We have alot of safety requirements so bare with us as we try and make it as safe as possible to return back to play. We will be following the State and City guidelines. Also at this time we are NOT allowing any other organizations to use the fields per Parks and Rec request. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us here on IM or call Mike directly at 505-250-2607 . The families who have requested a refund we are almost done with all the back end by paperwork and will have your money and uniforms here in the next week or so we appreciate your patience!
Zia family, we are asking for any donations possible. One of our board members Larries Vigil needs our help! We have been aware of all the up and downs his family and especially his daughter has been through for the last couple of years. They have started a go fund me page to help with medical expenses. If anyone would be willing to donate we know his family would really really appreciate it. Thank you!

Zia Little League Families,
My name is Mike Smith president of Zia Little League, on behalf of myself and the Board of Directors I want to thank you for supporting this season. This has been a difficult and unprecedented time for our community and for our league.
We understand that we will not be able to have the same spring season experience as in the past. We are still planning on offering a season as soon as possible. We have some options below for you to consider. While considering these options, we respectfully ask you to keep in mind that the league has already spent a significant amount of funds and resources preparing for the season. Items such as field preparation and maintenance, utilities, baseballs and softballs, equipment, uniforms and Insurance, and continued operation expenses of the league. We will also have a large expense when we do start back as we will have to comply with safety guidelines which the league will have to absorb that as well.
Option 1. You may choose to participate when we start back up. (Most Likely Fall 2020). Or you can choose to take a credit and roll into next spring season.
Option 2. You may choose not to participate this season and allow us to retain the funds and designate them to help support the league and future seasons.
Option 3. You can request a refund of your spring registration minus 50.00 per child (profit and candy money not included just registration fee). This will help us to cover costs already incurred by the league. The reason it is not in full amount is prior to Covid-19 pandemic the league had already ordered the jerseys and we cannot absorb that cost. We cannot refund the 3.00 service fee as that is a Sports Connect processing fee if you paid online.
We also want to explain if you still owe money for chocolate you will still have an open balance with our little league system and will not be eligible for any refund until paid in full.
Please feel free to respond to me directly by email [email protected] if you have a preference for how the funds should be distributed. If you are choosing to donate any portion of the spring registration, it may be tax deductible since we are a 501 C 3 organization. We can provide you with a donation letter upon request.
We ask that you please be patient with the return process as this will take some time. We are working with the online company (Sports Connect) to see if we will be able to issue electronic refunds if you paid by credit card online. We may have to cut checks to some (or all) families in some situations. Again, this will take some time for the league to figure out and process the refunds. We plan on looking into each individual family one at a time and if we have questions then we will reach out to you. Please do not call the league phone with refund questions. If you have very specific question please feel free to email [email protected] and title subject “Zia Refund” with players last name.
Thank you for your support and understanding. Zia Little League can be an incredibly important part of our community and in a young players life.

We appreciate it and I'm sure he will more! Thanks
Happy Mother's day to all the wonderful mom's out there!
Zia LL families,
We hope that everyone is staying healthy and adjusting to life, school and play at home. Its beautiful days like yesterday that make me really miss baseball, so if you can get out with being safe go throw the ball around for bit with your kids.
Thursday Little league International officially cancelled the World Series tournaments and postseason qualifying tournaments. So what does this mean for our local little season...
Little League Int. will still let us have a season as long as we follow the state guidelines! Great News
As per guidance through NM governor and health officials their is still a stay at home order until May 15th. We are hoping we can get things going around the last week of May or even the first week of June.
In addition we are exploring how we might extend our season into August as we would want to have as much as a regular season as possible. Of course this all depends on state and local government in terms of gathering and sporting events.
We appreciate everyone's patience in these exceptional times as we try and make a season happen. We still keep in communication with other Leagues and our District 5 admins. Cross your fingers, wash your hands, and be safe so we can return.
Happy Easter Zia family! Stay safe and have a blessed day.
Stay safe Zia families! ⚾🥎

As soon as our Safety Coordinators and our Board of directors gives the green light we will start back up immediately. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to me direct and I will gladly help.
