We close out with the one and only Ashley🫶🏻♥️

The Roots : Ashley has been teaching yoga for 27 years. Her original training was in Iyengar hatha yoga. Ashley would continue to gain trainings and certifications in Restorative and Pre-natal yoga methods. She then went through the Bikram yoga training experience in 2005 and began teaching at HYDT thereafter. Ashley would gain more hot yoga certification in the Barkin method and has continued to teach at her favorite studio in the world since then, here at home, Hot Yoga Downtown ABQ!

The Tree : Ashley loves the hot yoga practice. She feels that the heat offers a unique opportunity for healing and challenge for the yoga practitioner. Yoga has saved her life many times and helped to work through numerous injuries, ailments and body/mind work. Ashley practices daily at home and is always excited to make it to our in house hot yoga classes.

Caleb 🤩

The Roots : Caleb trained with Kendra and Ben at Nirguna Yoga in Albuquerque, NM. He received a 200-hour certificate. 

The Tree : Caleb’s yoga and meditation practices continue to grow through daily efforts to study and include serving others. He practices traditional series like 26+2 and the 84 hatha yoga asana series, vinyasa, yin yoga, and is exploring and learning more about the Ashtanga series. He likes to have a balance of fast-paced classes with many poses and slower-paced classes.

In his own words :
‘Hot Yoga Downtown is home. It is a space to transform your mind and body. Caleb has met many amazing, inspiring, strong, gentle, and kind people here. “It’s a supporting community. The best community in Albuquerque.” It’s filled with beings embodying good things, transformation, and inspiration. The Roots : Destiny received her 200 hour at YogaSix here in ABQ. She is also a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant which helped her dive deeper into the physical aspect of the practice.

The Roots : Destiny currently loves cresting a flow that offers new challenges, and helps people to create a positive mindset about learning new things! Her current practice represents just that :)

The Roots : Art did his RYT 200 at TRu Hot Yoga during the pandemic.

The Roots : Arts’ practice has evolved from fast paced , “power yoga” to mostly a whole lot of stillness and breathwork .
Art says , he’s found he’s most comfortable when things are upside down. 🙃

Simply put, Art believes HYDT has become his home -and we at the studio - couldn’t be happier 😊
