Healthy Breakfast Smoothies

Prep fruits and veggies ahead of time to make blending these healthy breakfast smoothies a breeze on busy mornings.

Recipe type: Beverage, breakfast
Serves: 1 each
Prep time 10 mins
Cook time 5 mins
Total time 15 mins

• Freeze into each container:
• ½ banana

Strawberry Goji:
• big handful of strawberries, sliced
• ¼ cup dried goji berries

• 1 peach, sliced
• handful of raspberries
• ½ tablespoon almond butter

Mango Maca:
• slices from ½ of a large mango
• 1 peach, sliced
• 1 teaspoon maca powder

Spinach & Mango
• slices from ½ of a large mango
• handful of fresh spinach
• 1-2 teaspoons matcha

Cherry Blueberry Cacao:
• ⅓ cup tart cherries
• ⅓ cup blueberries
• ½ - 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder

Blend each smoothie with:
• ½ - ¾ cup Almond Breeze Almondmilk Original
• a few pieces of ice

1. Assemble ½ banana into each freezer container (or freezer safe baggie). Add fruits/vegetables, then place your containers into the freezer until you're ready to blend each one.
2. Blend each smoothie with a few pieces of ice and ½ cup to ¾ cup almond milk (enough almond milk to get your blender blade moving).
3. Blend in "extras" (goji berries, almond butter, maca, matcha, cacao) at the end.

I use a Vitamix - if your blender isn't as powerful, let your frozen smoothie ingredients thaw at room temp for just a few minutes.

Focus on what happened, why they happened, what the trigger was, and create a game plan moving forward. ⁠⠀
The only negative of a slip up is if you don’t learn from it and create a strategy to implement next time you are faced with the same situation.

5 Minute Chocolate Mug Cake

This recipe is made with ingredients that all have something to offer nutritionally, so while your sweet tooth is being satisfied your body is also being nourished

Now keep in mind that this is a recipe for chocolate cake — the ingredients are wholesome, but it’s still cake! Enjoy in moderation

Here’s what you need for 1 mug cake:

•4 Tablespoons almond meal
•4 Tablespoon coconut crystals
•2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
•2 Tablespoons whisked egg
•4 Tablespoons coconut milk
•1 generous Tablespoon coconut oil, melted over low heat
•1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
•3 Tablespoons dark chocolate chips

1. In a microwave safe mug, combine the almond meal, coconut crystals, and cocoa powder. Mix well, until all the lumps are gone.

2. Add the whisked egg and mix. Add the coconut milk, coconut oil and vanilla extract. Mix well. Add the chocolate chips.

3. Microwave on high for 3 minutes.

4. Serve immediately!

The secret to overcoming fear is to control it, instead of allowing it to control you.
Grab two pieces of paper and something to write with.
Answer the following questions…
What is your greatest fear?
How has this hindered you in the past?
Why are you choosing to let go of this fear?

Most people will never overcome their fears because they never leave their comfort zone. Nothing grows there. “A ship in a harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are for.” —John A Shedd

We can’t change our beliefs, our habits, or our life without doing things that are uncomfortable.

Answer the following questions...

What happens when you become uncomfortable?

How do you avoid these discomforts?

What do you exclude from your life in order to avoid discomfort?

In the end, you regret the chances you didn’t take.

I want to prepare you for the war against Fear.

It’s your time to grab the steering wheel and drive.

Our 2-million-year-old brain doesn’t want us to be happy.
Our 2-million-year-old brain wants us to stay safe.

If we feel threatened or are facing challenging times, Fear will revert our brain back to old memories of past failure to prove to us it’s best we don’t take the next step forward and do the thing.

The Proof Exercise is a powerful self-reality check that combats this. It’s what shifts our brain from the, “no I can’t,” mentality to the, “yes I can.” I’m really excited to share this exercise with you. It’s helped me in my life tremendously. I know it will do the same for you.

Grab a piece of paper and something to write with.

Find a quiet spot where you can focus.

Write down the three fears that cripple you the most.

Leave about a paragraph or two of space in between each fear.

For each fear, write down 1-2 memories from the past where your behavior, mindset, and results proved this fear wrong.
Example: For a man who wrote down: “I’m scared to ask for the promotion I deserve at work.”

“It was the summer of 2014 when I approached my wife to be, Gloria. I smiled at her...she smiled back. I said hello…she said hello back. We went for a walk and talked. There was no judgment, and I wasn’t rejected. I was a strong, powerful, loving, humble, and grounded man. I went after what my heart desired, and I got it.”

The truth is, he has no reason to fear rejection asking for the raise he deserves because the proof is right there in front of him.

He can be fearless.

He can go after what he truly wants, and he most certainly can do it again.
