[04/11/20]   UPDATE: Bike shops have been included as essential businesses in the latest health order. We are OPEN and conducting curbside service, while keeping the front of house closed for the remainder of the current stay at home order. Our previously posted hours and precautions are still being implemented. Feel free to call us with any questions or concerns regarding your cycling needs during this time.

Also, as our materials used to sanitize the shop, bikes, etc, become in shorter supply, we are humbly requesting any donation of sanitary wipes, isopropyl alcohol, disinfectants / cleaners, etc. We understand how scarce these items are, as we have experienced extreme difficulty in acquiring them ourselves, due to the recent rise in demand.

A HUGE thanks is in order for the continued support of our customers, friends, family, local community, and our colleagues in the bicycle industry. We could not do this without all of your help.

Thank you!

Bicycle Shops are Essential Businesses

We have another update regarding COVID-19 and our abilities to operate during the pandemic.

Yesterday, we were instructed by AFD to close our front of house entirely. We have implemented adequate distancing and sanitation measures, however, because bicycle shops are not explicitly listed as essential business in the current public health order, we are in danger of being issued a citation by state police.

We will finish the repairs in our current lineup, and contact customers to set up an outdoor pickup and remote payment options. As the COVID-19 situation develops we will continue to adapt our business and attempt to provide whatever level of service we can.

Other states and cities with similar stay at home orders have recognized bike shops as essential businesses. We work with commuters every day, and believe we should be able to continue serving the public while following the proper instructions to operate our business safely.

Please help the local cycling community by filling out and sharing this petition. Hopefully, in due time, the Governor will see the support and advocacy for keeping our bike shops open, and will have us included as essential businesses.

As always, we are grateful for our community and wish everyone safety and good health.

-Aaron & Walter Bicycle shops are essential businesses - bicycling is low cost and allows social distance - tell elected officials in New Mexico that bicycle shops are essential for keeping people moving! [@campaign]

We've made some updates to our precautions list. Thank you for your patience as this information develops and changes.

We have also decided to shorten our weekday hours, in an effort to lessen / limit possible exposure. This schedule will stay in effect until 04/10/20 unless otherwise stated. The temporary hours are as follows:

Tuesday - Thursday: 12PM-5PM
Friday - Saturday: 9AM-5PM
Sunday: 11AM-4PM
Monday: CLOSED

In addition to the reduced hours and precautions in place, we have set up an area of the shop to receive and sanitize bikes with minimal contact. Customers can set their bike in a slot and wait at a safe distance while we sanitize and determine work needed. The shop has also been set up to optimize physical distancing between customers and staff.

Thank you for your continued support and patience. We love our community and will do whatever we can to continue serving you.

Stay safe and Ride On!
-Aaron and Walter
