NMX Sports

Bring back "Bomb Lomas" please. I'm sitting at a desk instead of bombing😞
We love working with NMX Sports every year to offer Extreme Camps! And we're so grateful to the Notah Begay III (NB3) Foundation to help dozens of native youth get to experience these exciting sports this summer. Check out nmxsports.org for more information on Extreme Camps! #OneAlbuquerque
Are you doing the NMX pass this year?
Thanks for the great job organizing the bomb Lomas event! Had a fabulous time. Keep up the good work!

NM(X) is the premiereyouth focused, youth-drivennon-profit in the U.S. of A! What is NMX? NMX Sports is a 501(c)-3 non-profit organization that will give interested youth the opportunity to become involved in non-traditional or “extreme” sports.

We will introduce many sports to the kids; however, our primary activities will include skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding, mountain biking, BMX and wakeboarding. Our surveys show that an overwhelming 90% of kids want to participate in the sports that NMX will represent, but only 20% are participating. However, there are currently few or no programs to solve this problem until NMX. NMX Sports wil

6” from the storm and still coming down! POWDER DAY!!! ❄️

Here is some great news from some longtime friends and supporters!!

Thank you for your patience as we prepare the mountain to welcome you back. Awesome news — regardless of New Mexico tier level, ski areas will be allowed to open! We are busy working with the state to develop COVID precautions and plans that will allow us to open just as soon as we can. We're not ready to announce a firm date yet, but rest assured, it's coming soon and we'll let you know when it's happening! ⛷️ 🏂

USASA Southwest Freeride Series

News from our friends at USASA.

Sadly, NMX does not plan on any programming this winter.

Hoping everyone stays safe and planning to be back to programming in 2021.

Happy Holidays everyone. With the governor's new three tier (Red to Green) plan, here is where we stand with Events this season.

According to the New Mexico Dept. of Health COVID Safe Practices for Ski Areas:
"Special events may not exceed the mass gathering limit per the Public Health Order."

The new Red to Green Public Health Order limits mass gatherings as follows:
Red - 5 people
Yellow - 10 people
Green - 20 people

Considering it takes at least 5 officials (Starter, Patrol, and 3 Judges) to host an event, we won't be able to host any Events until the host county reaches the Green Level... and the Ski Areas allow us to do so.

Sipapu and Red River are in Taos County.
Angel Fire is in Colfax County.
Pajarito is in Los Alamos County.

Stay Safe and Keep Shredding!!
Hopefully, we will see you soon.

As if things were not challenging enough for Locker #505 with having enough resources such as new shoes, new socks and new underwear for the increase of children in need ..... we were broken into last night. And they took the items that are the most expensive for us to replace😭😭😭 Stealing from children in need😮😟

For those concerned, we will NOT be running Xtreme Camp this summer due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

We do not feel that we could provide a safe program for both participants and staff at this time due to the high contact nature of our program.

We look forward to getting past this and providing our community with quality programming as soon as possible.

Thanks for the years of support.

Weber is an all around great guy, working at a great shop, and both are HUGE supporters of NMX.

Go see him sometime when we can do so safely!

Staff Superhero Shoutout Sunday, day 1, goes to our snowboard department manager Jose Weber (@litopunkrawk), who’s also one of our bike builder extraordinaires — affectionately known as ‘Weber’, fellow employees count on his calm during chaos, his can-do attitude and unique, encyclopedic knowledge of roof racks. After hours, Weber has a deep appreciation of amazing bikes, quality beers and combining both with two-wheeled brewery tours. Big round of applause for the guy who keeps everyone sane and the vibes good — words can’t do justice to how lucky we are to have him! 🤘🏻
