Alburtis Blue Tigers Impressive In Win Against Lower Mac Majors Team 1

Alburtis Blue Tigers easily dispatched Lower Mac Majors Team 1 on Friday at 5603 E Texas Rd, Allentown, PA 18106, 16-8.

Alburtis Blue Tigers got on the board in the first inning after a wild pitch scored one run.

Robbie Vaughn flew out, which helped Lower Mac Majors Team 1 tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.

Alburtis Blue Tigers captured the lead, 3-1, in the top of the second after Ayden Lockwood singled to left field, and Cameron Kilpatrick singled to center field, each scoring one run.

Alburtis Blue Tigers added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Matt Rosko grounded into a fielder's choice, and Mikah Knopf singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.

Lower Mac Majors Team 1 flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring seven runs on two hits to take the lead, 8-5. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Gavin Galligani that drove in two.

Alburtis Blue Tigers made the score 9-8 in the top of the fifth after Tony Hernandez singled, scoring two runs, Lockwood grounded out, scoring one run, and Bryden Fazio drew a walk, scoring one run.

Alburtis Blue Tigers scored seven runs on three hits in the top of the sixth inning. Rosko tripled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, an error scored one run, Kilpatrick doubled, scoring two runs, and David Swenson singled, scoring one run.

Knopf stepped on the mound first for Alburtis Blue Tigers. The pitcher allowed four hits and two runs over three and one-third innings, striking out three and walking three. Kaden McCartney stepped on the bump first for Lower Mac Majors Team 1. The hurler gave up three hits and three runs (two earned) over two innings, striking out none and walking one. Fazio appeared in relief for Alburtis Blue Tigers.

Alburtis Blue Tigers amassed 13 hits in the game. Kilpatrick, Alburtis Blue Tigers's number nine hitter, led the team with three hits in three at-bats. Rosko and Kilpatrick each drove in three runs for Alburtis Blue Tigers. Tanner Zornek and Swenson each collected multiple hits for Alburtis Blue Tigers. Hernandez paced Alburtis Blue Tigers with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. Knopf, Hernandez, and Kilpatrick each stole multiple bases for Alburtis Blue Tigers. Alburtis Blue Tigers stole 12 bases in the game. Alburtis Blue Tigers turned one double play in the game.

Galligani and Nick Balsamo were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Lower Mac Majors Team 1 while hitting back-to-back. Galligani drove the middle of the lineup, leading Lower Mac Majors Team 1 with two runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Lower Mac Majors Team 1 had patience at the plate, piling up eight walks for the game. McCartney and Tyler Funk led the team with two free passes each. Crocifisso Martino and Morgan Giberson each stole multiple bases for Lower Mac Majors Team 1. Lower Mac Majors Team 1 stole 10 bases in the game.

Alburtis Blue Tigers will travel to Bath Allen Gold for their next game on Saturday.
