These are some things Ibought for my wife, Ihave several more things ordered, when I get the other parts and get it all put together what will she have. How many of you know.

My new M9 Beretta shoots pretty good

Here is my oldest and newest Beretta, the oldest is over 40 years and a 9 mm model 92 and the newest is Berettas new M9 22LR, I haven't shot it yet but I know I will like it.

A 32" Snook caught on one of my Bucktail Jigs I make, it was caught near Tampa.

The first photo is of a 1971 Chevy Truck, I bought my first new truck in 1971 it was just like the one in the photo, I bought it at the Chevrolet Place in Hogansville, I gave $2,178.67 for it, that was tax and all. The second photo is of a new 350 ci Chevorlet motor I ordered yesterday to put in my 1997 Tahoe, which is my toy, I go play in, I gave $2246.97 for it. This new motor was very similar to the 350 mortor in my 71 truck, I paid more for it than I did the 71, and only got the motor not the rest of the truck. That just shows how truck prices have increased through the years. I drove F250 Fords for years, I bought one in 2006 that had the chrome package on it that was more than the King Ranch beside it that was over 50 grand, you could have never convinced me in 1971 I would spend that much on a truck.

I have closed my shop in Alexander City AL for good, I bought a 16 foot cargo trailer and a 12 x 20 tent, and have all my tools and equipment packed away so I can set up my shop where ever I want. I have had some good times in this shop the past few years but the owner has sold the building so I got to go. I have spoke to several people on the forts I work on about doing some things with the Wounded Warriors, I can teach some of them fly tying and lure making. I can also set up and teach any clubs that may want to learn, I have had a lot of groups ask if I would teach them fly tying. I also will be doing some craft shows, the last one I went to and set up I made $800 in two days, thats not a bad weekend pay for doing something you really enjoy. Last year I made a liminted amount of lures and put company logos on them for companies to give away for Christmas, I have room for approx 150 for this year if anyone is intrested. I can put logos on the wood topwater lures that I make in all shapes and size, or I can put them on a wide varity of plastic lures I buy from China and paint and install hooks on. As seen in photos I have boxes which I put the company logo on and I include a stand, if you want to display your lure or you can use it. They make excellent gifts, they are made to fish with, one that was give away last year caught a Large Mouth Bass a little over 10 lbs. Call me for details. Tight Lines Big Mike

JIGS, JIGS, AND MORE JIGS, Everybody is wanting bucktail jigs these days, I have been tying them about every spare minuite I have just to keep up with orders. Lately bucktrail jigs with feathers added to them are the thing everybody wants, and they can't keep them on the shelves in bait shops. I have been tying feathers and bucktail together on jigs for years and have caught fish, about 6 or 8 weeks ago I tied a dozen bucktail jigs for one of my regular costomers, I tied him 2 extras with feathers and and a few other extras, gave them to him, he thanked me and I told him there was no need to thank me because you will be back next week wanting more then I will charge you for them. I told him I was kinda like a drug dealer, I will give you something that once you use it you will have to have more, then thats when I make my money. Sure enough he was back the next week and he picked up more yesterday, I got him hooked. I make jigs from 1/80 of an ounce to 2 ounce with any thing from feathers to silicone skirts, I can make about any type jig you could want, come see me and we will make you some or teach you how to make your own. Hi, I am Mike Tucker, I own Big Mikes Baits in Alexander City AL, you probably see my post on Face Book. I make custom lures of many kinds and sell them, I also teach classes on fly tying and lure making, and sell all the tools and materials needed to do this, I am open only on Friday afteernoon and Saturday. You are all welcome to come visit and sit down and let me show you how to make bait. I open my shop on the weekends only because I have a full trime job as a construction project manager- superintendent, I hope to retire from construction and run my shop full time in a few years.I am looking for several superintendents for projects we are doing on and off U.S. Army Bases, we have several projects we are looking at at Fort Gordon, GA, some at Fort Benning, and others around central Alabama. I just compleated building 6 buildings on the shooting ranges, and a large remodel job at Fort Gordon, we have ongoing work at Fort Gordon and Fort Stewart. I had the pleasure of having Derick and his two sons spent several hours with me at my shop a few weeks ago, he wanted to learn to make his own jigs. We started with me showing him how to pour jigs, I sell molds and hooks and all the parts needed, then we went to my fluid bed and heat gun where I showed him how to paint them. This is a process where you heat the jig and melt powder paint to them, then place them into an oven and bake the finish on. Once they cooled I showed him how to epoxy the brush gaurds onto them, then we made the skirts and put them on, now its fishing time. Derick really enjoyed making his own, I hope he comes back soon so I can show him how to make more types of jigs. I teach classes and sell materials to make most all kinds of baits and flies, its a lot of fun to fish but more fun to catch fish on bait you make yourself.
