You can’t learn how to swim by just reading a book about water. 🥊

The same goes for martial arts. You can drill pads, hit the bag, and memorize combinations all day long, but until you step on the mat and spar, your skills are just theory.
Sparring and grapling is where the magic happens. It’s not about “winning” or proving who is toughest. It’s about leaving your ego at the door, testing your timing, and learning how to stay calm when things get chaotic.
Remember:
🔴Keep most rounds light, playful, and smart.
🔴 Protect yourself and your partner.
🔴 Treat every exchange as a lesson, not a match.
Don’t let fear or pride keep you from leveling up. Step on the mat, bow in, and grow! 📈👊

The Spartans had the opportunity to learn from one of the greats this weekend, Sensei Jadi Tention . We are so thankful for this time dedicated to not just training our bodies, but also training our mental strength.
