Dear friends and valued members of our cycling community,

It is with heartfelt sadness that we share the passing of our beloved coworker and friend, Bill Mould. Bill was a master wheel builder whose craftsmanship, patience, and passion elevated every bike—and every rider—he touched. His dedication to the art of wheel building and his generosity in sharing his knowledge made him a beloved figure in our shop and throughout the cycling community.

We invite you to join us as we celebrate Bill’s life, his remarkable contributions, and the many memories he leaves behind. This gathering is open to all who knew him, learned from him, or simply appreciated the care he put into every wheel he built.

Memorial Gathering

In addition, we will be hosting a Memorial Ride in Bill’s honor the following day, a chance to come together on the roads and trails he helped so many of us enjoy. All riders are welcome, and we encourage you to join us as we pedal in remembrance of a man who kept us all rolling.

The cycling community lost a true legend. Bill Mould wasn’t just known for his incredible custom wheel builds — he was a source of knowledge, inspiration, and kindness for everyone who had the chance to know him.

It was truly a pleasure working alongside him and learning from the legend himself at Trek Alexandria North. Bill’s passion for the craft and his generosity in sharing that passion made a lasting impact on so many of us.

Rest easy, Bill. Your legacy will keep rolling strong with every wheel you built and every rider you inspired. 🚴‍♂️❤️

Beginning on May 5th, Bill Mould will host a series of clinics on various bicycle wheel related topics. The one hour clinics will begin at 12:00 noon at the Trek store on North Quaker Lane. We will subsequently post a link so you can sign up. Please pass this information along to others who you think might be interested. These are the topics for the first clinic:

Building custom wheels for our customers is a very gratifying experience because they inevitably gain greater enjoyment in their cycling experiences. A very special situation is for riders with disabilities. Right now, Bill Mould is using his deep knowledge of physics and engineering to design two high-performance wheels for the tandem or a sight-impaired woman. When paired up with a sighted captain, this physically fit lady will have a screaming fast rig with NOX Composite 55 mm aero wheels, White Industries purple XMR hubs, and Sapim CX-Ray aero spokes.
