For veterans grappling with mental health challenges, hockey becomes a crucial avenue for rebuilding self-esteem, reigniting a sense of identity, and finding comfort and strength in the company of teammates. Beyond the rink, hockey's therapeutic benefits extend, helping individuals reconnect with themselves and their communities and a healthier, more gratifying life.

The Hendrickson Foundation is a huge supporter of Minnesota Special Hockey and this year is no different with an incredibly generous donation to MSH in support of our 2025-26 season. HF's generosity not only helps support our 300+ players across the state but also highlights the message that inclusion matters and ensures that every person in Minnesota, no matter their abilities, deserves a chance to play hockey.

This month, USA Hockey proudly celebrates the remarkable athletes in our six disabled disciplines and their contributions to making our game so great. We’re excited to showcase the achievements and stories of those involved in Sled, Blind, Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Standing/Amputee, Special and Warrior Hockey across the country.

Minnesota Special Hockey is now accepting applications for two open volunteer positions on its Board of Directors. The positions are Treasurer and Ice Coordinator, both instrumental in the operation of MSH.
