Shawn Achor, a “happiness researcher” from Harvard, prescribes this practice to optimize the effects of gratitude.
For 21 days, write down 3 specific things that occurred in the last 24 hrs that you are grateful for.
The felt improvement increases as you practice this over time.
People have a default 200:1 negativity bias. By focusing on true sources of gratitude in your life, you balance out the default negativity bias.
Just like buying a new car, you begin to see things you’re grateful for everywhere.
Ever try this? Going to try this?
Let me know about your experience.

P.S., If you are a parent who wants to own their language to self-regulate AND model extremely productive approaches to stress, ask me about joining the January group of Peak Performing Parents.

🎾 The characters who played Venus & Serena Williams in the recent film, King Richard, spoke with confidence & ease…their posture remained relaxed when questioned by adults.
Their word choice signified a mind trained to focus on what is possible. Their words pointed them to the actions they could take to create their desired outcome.
The concept of a “language of peak performance” may sound odd…even imaginary.
It is very real.
(It is a key component in Peak Performing Parents - “3P” 📲DM to join the Jan. 2022 cohort)
In fact, learning to use language in this way has been shown to balance the nervous system and to release feel good hormones! 😮
Did you know Richard Williams wrote an 85 page plan for Venus & Serena’s tennis career?
Get this: An analysis of coaching approaches that created enduring results (and those that didn’t) showed that writing down a “plan for greatness” (in a certain way) is essential.
The words you use are SO powerful they don’t just impact you, they program the little minds around you.
Consider your words.

P.S., Spaces are limited - Message me today about joining the January cohort of 3P.
