The Pineville Lady Rebels are bringing a State Championship back to Cenla!

Pineville defeated John Curtis 12-1 Sunday in Sulphur to win the Division I Select State Championship — the program’s first title since 1998 and eighth overall. 👏🏾🏆

⭐ Ava Moore earned Championship MVP honors after recording six RBI’s, including a GRAND SLAM in the sixth inning to seal the win. 💥🥎

The Lady Rebels were also the ONLY Cenla team to capture a State Championship this year in Sulphur. ❤️🖤

🏆 Ferriday Trojans Capture State Title 🏆

LAKE CHARLES — Ferriday is champion again.

The Ferriday High School Trojans defeated East Iberville 59-55 to win the 2026 LHSAA Division IV Non-Select State Championship, bringing the trophy back to Ferriday for the first time in 37 years. The victory marks the program’s third state title (1988, 1989, 2026).

East Iberville, playing in its first state championship game, battled until the final buzzer. Ferriday made key plays late to secure the win.

Head coach Shawn Davis adds a special chapter to Trojan history. Davis won a state title as a Ferriday player and now returns the program to the top as head coach.

Business trip completed. Trophy back in Ferriday.

🏀 SABINE PARISH SHOWING OUT AT STATE

Central Louisiana will have two teams playing for state championships Friday, and both come from Sabine Parish.

Pleasant Hill High School and Zwolle High School are now one win away from bringing home LHSAA state titles at Burton Coliseum in Lake Charles.

Pleasant Hill will play for the Class C State Championship against Gibsland-Coleman at 2:00 PM. The Eagles reached the finals after defeating Hornbeck 66-46 in the semifinals.

Zwolle will compete for the Class B State Championship at 6:00 PM against Lacassine after defeating Hathaway 55-40 in the semifinals.

Two teams. Two championship games. One parish representing Central Louisiana on the state stage.
