Friday will be our last day of business. Since you guys have become like family we feel a bit nervous like we are dropping our kids off at college and just have to wait and see if they make the good choices. Friday we will be open from 5:00 am to noon and plan on selling off pretty much everything left in the studio dirt cheap. Moving forward Stacey will continue coaching S3 Athletes, offer bike fits, and remain a fitness consultant for those just need guidance verses a whole individualized plan. Pricing is as follows and limited spaces will be available:

S3 Multi-sport athlete $350 per month
S3 Single-sport athlete $300 per month
Consultation- (swim, bike, run, strength/mobility program design, nutrition, etc) $85 per hour
Bike Fit- $95 per hour

FiXX is for SALE!!!!

Yep, you are hearing it straight from the horse's mouth. We are looking to sell both the business and the building/property, if you know of anyone who may be interested, please let us know. We plan on doing business as usual through December 31st and then I will be partially retiring while continuing to coach the current S3 roster of athletes.

Back in 2015, I was SCARED to open a business such as FIXX in a very small community. Cycling and the focused style of strength training that we offer is a very tiny niche in the fitness industry. It still amazes me that we somehow found the EXACT clientele we were looking for. People who we want to hang out with on the weekends and camp with and have a party for. It has humbled me greatly to have been able to build a brand and a fitness community that I have been extremely proud of. I have had the best coaches in world under our roof. This decision was a heart breaking one, and I find myself SCARED again to let go something that I love so much. Once again, I've thrown myself out of my comfort zone, but I know that good things always wait for you on the other side.

Scott and I plan to cross some bucket list items off the list while we are still young and healthy. This also frees up some time to spend with our parents and loved ones. We aren't going anywhere but we are going places!!! For those of you who are our current members, don't worry, we have 2 months to come up with a plan for you. We plan on guiding you every step of the way. THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart, for the support and joy you have brought to my life over these last seven years. Love you guys! More to come!

FiXX tackles the Trace!!!

FiXX cyclists ventured out to the beautiful Natchez Trace Parkway this past weekend. The weather was absolutely perfect for this 2 day scenic ride. We had some cyclists who rode 100 miles for the first time ever and some who rode 50 miles for the first time ever. Fueled by homemade rice cakes and energy balls, this group had a blast taking in all of the views and setting new personal records. It's so much fun for us to see how the inside training that we prescribe translates into grins and personal wins outside. Keep up the great work team!!

Our indoor Saturday rides start back up this weekend at FiXX with Team leader Kelly Jaubert! The class starts at 7:00 am and lasts for 90 minutes but you can always cut that shorter if you need to.

WE CAN GET GRAVEL AND ROAD BIKES! Yes, you read that right. If you are looking for a gravel or road bike we are starting to be able to get them sometimes within 7 days. Let us know if you want to come and check out the fleet of Argon 18 bikes that we have on hand.

We had a busy Weekend!!!

There was a full schedule of racing for FiXX/S3 Athletes this weekend. The St. Jude 70.3 Half Ironman took place on Saturday in Memphis TN. It consisted of a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run! The water was cool and the bike and run course were hilly. There were a few experienced racers and a couple of first timers that thrived at the challenging endurance event.

The SugarMan sprint triathlon took place today in Youngsville, LA. It consisted of a 500M swim, 16 mile bike and 5k run. The water was COLD, but the bike and run course were both flat and beautiful. We had several rookies "get wet" for the first time along with several who went to take all of the awards. Some of our rookies even took the awards!

Le Tour de Bayou!!!

What a fun day of riding yesterday at the local Le Tour de Bayou! Many local cyclists came out in support as well as out of town and out of state riders. Distances of 10, 25, 40, 69 and 101 miles were offered to entice every fitness level. We really enjoyed seeing so many of our members and local cyclists out there challenging themselves and having an adventure.

Next up is our FiXX field trip to ride the beautiful Natchez Trace parkway. All FiXX members are invited to attend. Distance up to 100 miles will be offered on both Saturday and Sunday, October 8th and 9th. What's Up at FiXX!!

We will be open for the 8:15 bike and 9:00 TRX class for Labor Day only. Please join us! Also starting in October we will bring back our Saturday classes starting at 7:00 am. Traditionally these are 90 minute classes but you can ride what ever duration you would like. It's nice to have options if the winter weather turns foul.

Need a power test? We plan on running a power test on Friday, September the 9th at the 5:15 am class. This can not only establish your indoor power training zones but also can help us dial in your outdoor heart rate zones if you do not currently have a power meter. Wear your heart rate strap and be READY TO WORK!

Our members are always welcome to jump on the treadmill or zero runner as well if the weather isn't favorable or if you are managing an injury. Just reach out and we will try our best to accommodate you!

No Dancing Monkeys!!!

We are super excited to be a USWE (pronounced "you-sway") hydration pack and vest dealer. Their products are top of the line and finally someone has created a pack that is both lightweight and has no bounce. We have several of the packs and vests in stock. The run vest come in sizes small, medium and large based on chest measurement and the hydration packs are one size fits all. FiXX Field Trip and Team TDB!!

We have two exciting announcements! First, would you like to ride with our team for the Tour de Bayou? We will offer team leaders for each of the distances and try to keep those who want to stay together grouped together as much as we can. Our 101 team leader is Scott McMickens, of course this one will be for those who want to fly around the course rather quickly. For the 69 miler we have Coach Stacey McMickens, we plan on having fun and getting everyone through safely. Then we have team leader Chasitiy Smith for the 44 miler. Many on this ride will be tackling the distance for the first time. And last, but not least we have team leader Clark Bordelon helping out with the 25 miler..fun, safety and fellowship will be the mission!

Our second exciting news is that we are planning a FIXX field trip!! We are heading over to ride the beautiful Natchez Trace on October 8-9. The Natchez Trace Parkway is a beautiful scenic byway offering low traffic, 55 mph speed zones and very nicely paved roads. We will offer 100 milers each day, Saturday and Sunday...BUT the course will be out and back so you can ride 10 miles, 20, 40, whatever you like. We will be camping at Riverview RV park in Vidalia so you can either camp there (they also have some little cabins) or you can get a hotel in Natchez. All FiXX members or 10 Class Pass members are welcome to attend!

The NEW HRM PRO PLUS!!

Garmin just introduced the all-new Heart Rate Monitor, the PRO PLUS! This monitor continues to give accurate monitoring of your heartrate during activity, but now adds new features such as:

* An easy twist off battery door (no more fighting the tiny screws).
* Addition of real time speed and distance comparable to wearing a foot pod. This gives more accurate data when running on a treadmill, on a track or on the trails.
* You can sync with your devices and software via both Bluetooth and Ant.
* Now includes a memory function, where it can record your workout even if you did not have your watch or device nearby and then sync it when you are within close distance.

The recommendation for cleaning any of their Heart Rate Monitors is to use a light amount of dish washing liquid, rinse under the faucet and lay flat to dry.
