A state historical marker recalling the ‘Desegregation of Community Clubs’ will be dedicated this weekend in Fairfax County. In December 1969, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Sullivan v. Little Hunting Park that excluding African Americans in recreational associations was a violation of the Civil Rights Act of 1866. The dedication is free and open to the public.
