Congratulations to Brody Adelman, a Class of 2026 graduate of Alexandria Area High School, who was selected to be on the 2026 North All Star Team in the MSHSBCA Twins Community Fund All Star Series. The North Team in the 2026 MSHSBCA Twins Community Fund All-Star Series features a roster of top senior baseball talent from across Northern Minnesota. The highly anticipated showcase is taking place June 25–27, 2026, in Chaska, Minnesota.

Did you know Alexandria has one of the nicest baseball stadiums in the entire area?

Its true! AYBA Baseball, the City of Alexandria, and other organization have put a lot of time, effort, and money into upgrading and improving the team and fan experience at Knute Nelson Ballpark.

If you are a baseball fan and want to watch some great baseball from ages 15 to 50+ years young, Knute Nelson Memorial Ballpark is the place to watch those great games.

The Hitting Yard has put together a combined schedule for all of the games (that we know of) at Knute Nelson for Junior Legion Red, Junior Legion Black, Senior Legion, Alexandria Black Sox, Alexandria Classic Clippers, and Alexandria Redbirds.

It also includes the Battle of the Badges game between Alexandria Law Enforcement Alexandria Police Department, Alexandria, MN and Alexandria Fire Department on August 31 from 4:00 - 9:00 pm.

This schedule is for June, July, and August. We have color coded the teams.
Legion Red - RED
Legion Black - BLUE
Senior Legion - GREEN
Blacksox - YELLOW
Classic Clippers - ORANGE
Redbirds - PURPLE

There are over 30 games and 5 tournament weekends including 2 State Tournaments hosted at Knute Nelson! It is truly an amazing feature of this great community!

Congratulations to the Alexandria American Legion Post 87 Senior team on winning the 2026 Shayne Simon Memorial Tournament at Knute Nelson Memorial Ballpark tonight 4-2 against Bemidji Post 14 Centars!

Post 87 went 4-0 on the tournament and only allowed 2 runs in the entire tournament. Congratulations to Hitting Yard members Jackson W., Derek W., Gavin D., Chandler B., Zach I., Mitchell B., Brody B., Seth S., and Braum P. on contributing to the victory!

Post 87 is back on the field this Wednesday against East Grand Forks starting at 1:00 pm.

AYBA Baseball and Minnesota American Legion Baseball Alexandria Post 87 are hosting the Shayne Simon Memorial Senior Tournament this weekend.

There are some awesome baseball teams participating in this years tournament. It is some of the best baseball in the area.
Games start tomorrow June 12 at Knute Nelson Memorial Ballpark here in Alexandria.
