Dora will be teaching restoratives and Michelle Bui will lead us into a sound bath.

Michelle Bui is a holistic wellness facilitator based in Los Angeles and New York specializing in sound bath meditations. Michelle’s sound baths often begin with light yogic breathwork to help the mind and body enter the first stages of intentional pause. To help slow down the brain waves and activate the parasympathetic nervous system, various instruments including gongs, chimes, and drums are sequenced around crystal singing bowls to create a sonic journey. Harmonic and dissonant sounds become a unique experience for each participant as they move through different sensations and emotions. The deep meditative states that can be reached through the practice offer release, relaxation, and a reset.

Ropes Workshop for All Levels this Sunday, August 21 @ 2pm // Join Dewey and learn how to practice asana using the wall yoga ropes. If you are already working with ropes, you may find additional ways to enhance your practice. This workshop is for all level students. Using yoga ropes provides active and passive support in asana, developing strength, stamina, flexibility, mobility, relaxation, confidence and much more. Ropes provide the support needed to access poses safely, rebuilding strength overtime. // Please bring your yoga mat and a couple of blankets. Limited in-person. Virtual option is not available. Restoratives with Dora and meditation with featuring “calendula” on
Sunday, January 23 @ 2-4 pm.

Join us for an afternoon of restoratives, relaxation, and rejuvenation! Release, let go and surrender to make space and transition into who you are becoming.

We will explore Calendula, a vibrant and resilient blossom which supports healing from the inside out, offering space for renewal both physically and emotionally. Calendula is brightening, strengthening, nourishing and a great ally for the darker months of winter as we move towards spring.

Please bring your yoga mat, a couple of blankets, a belt and a journal if you would like to make notes after the meditation practice.

Join Dora and Maribeth Helen for a restorative plant meditation on Sunday, November 7 @ 2-4:00 pm.

This workshop is appropriate for all-level students and focused on stress relief. Restoratives and a meditation practice are the perfect antidotes for a busy life of multitasking.

Dora will guide you inward through equating practice of restorative poses that promote inner peace and tranquility, improve memory, increase concentration and mental clarity, support the immune system, soothe the nervous system, improve circulation, regulate blood pressure, reduce depression and much more. Pranayama will be included in our practice.

Maribeth Helen will guide us through meditation and will share how plants are storytellers and wisdom keepers. Like us, each plant has their own unique energy and gifts of healing. In this plant meditation, we will learn about the energetics and medicinal uses of Tulsi, or holy basil. We will sip tea, breathe together, and feel into the grounding, expansive and restorative spirit of Tulsi, both an ancient plant and deeply supportive herbal medicine for these times.

Please register early. There are 15 physical spots available in the studio. Please bring your yoga mat, a couple of blankets, a belt, and a journal if you would like to make notes after the meditation practice. The workshop will also be hosted online.

Ardha Chandrasana with support. I love practicing this pose with a block and at the wall. These extra supports are also beneficial for pregnant women. The moon pose is great to strengthen your abdomen, ankles, thighs, buttocks and spine. This pose helps relieve stress and aid with digestion. How do you like practicing this pose?

Join us this Saturday as Dora leads us in a virtual inversion workshop, October 16 @ 1:30-3:30 pm.

Healthy inversions are learned by the practice of other asanas and by the intention and alignment we bring to our practice. Inversions help regulate and keep our immune and nervous system‘s healthy, and enhance confidence and self-esteem.

We will learn methods that encourage safety first by observing the connections between inversions and standing poses, backbend, twists, and forward extensions. This practice is a body, breath, and mind connection.

Please have a sticky mat, a belt, and three blankets available for the practice.
