APMS Panthers 26 Hold Off Woodhaven For Victory

Despite seeing their 4-run lead whittled down by the end, APMS Panthers 26 still held off for a 10-9 victory on Thursday. Woodhaven closed the gap by scoring on a double, a triple, a triple, a single, a double, and a double.

Both offenses were strong at the plate as APMS Panthers 26 collected 15 hits and Woodhaven 13 in the high-scoring affair.

APMS Panthers 26 captured the lead, 4-1, in the bottom of the first when McGrath tripled, scoring two runs, Alyssa Manick tripled, scoring one run, and Emma Strother singled, scoring one run.

APMS Panthers 26 added one run in the third after McGrath singled to center field on the sixth pitch of the at-bat.

Woodhaven flipped the game on its head in the top of the fourth, scoring six runs on six hits to take the lead, 7-5. The biggest blow in the inning was a triple by Olivia Gutierrez that drove in two.

Voskoyan led things off in the circle for APMS Panthers 26. The starting pitcher gave up 10 hits and seven runs over four innings, striking out three and walking three. Madison Swain started in the circle for Woodhaven. The starter allowed six hits and four runs over two innings, striking out five and walking one. Kozakowski appeared in relief for APMS Panthers 26.
