Guru is the One who dispels the darkness of spiritual ignorance in humanity and bestows their experiences and knowledge upon them. Guru is Brahma, who is the Creator of the universe. Guru is Vishnu, who is all-pervasive and the Doer in the universe. Guru is Maheshvara, who commands and ordains everything in the universe properly! I remember and thank all my Gurus today who have inspired and supported me in all my endeavors and helped me to grow as an artist! My pranam to them !

It was not an easy task to direct dances for the huge show "East meets West" presented by Allen Philharmonic in collaboration with my Nrityajyoti Dance Academy! The most difficult challenge for me was to collaborate with Indian local dancers of different genres and schedule rehearsals. Dallas is such a vast region having so many Indian dance artists yet it was difficult to collaborate at times with everyone's busy schedule! Stage rehearsals with a live orchestra were possible only for the last two days before the show! It's not easy to show both technical and expressive pieces on a Symphony orchestra! BUT WE DID IT! Thank you my Guruji Keka Sinha ji for all the guidance and inspiration Thanks to all the dancers of Nrityajyoti dance academy for excellent presentations of Kathak and Manipuri dances! Thanks to Hannah Fisher, Vanitha MD, and Krishnaveni Putrevufor their collaborations. SPECIAL thanks my support to all the volunteers Alisha Chunara Ranjan Nabar Seema Rao and my husband Mrinal K Das who worked so hard to make this program successful! I have received such great reviews from Professors of Universities, Gurus from India, local artists, friends, local radio channels, supporters from both India and the USA, and mainstream audiences that I can only say I am feeling really BLESSED!
