Two back-to-back days of a 5K, half marathon, and marathon in North Texas (an hour north of Dallas) on New Year's Eve and New Year’s Day. Do 1 day or both!

Finish certain combos of races each day and earn the special Challenge Plate to hang them from! Two days, you pick the combo of distances. A tech shirt for each day for all race distances, even the 5K. A finisher medal for each day for all race distances, even the 5K. You can run one day if you don't want to do both. But you'll miss out on the Challenge Plate that you get for doing two back-to-back days of races across the years! Your medals actually magnet into the plate!

There’s something special about ending one year and beginning another in motion 🏃‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏻

New Years Double gives you two days to celebrate how far you’ve come and take the next step toward wherever you want to go.

Choose a 5K, half marathon, or marathon. Race on New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, or both. Come for a personal milestone, a family tradition, or simply the fun of starting the year with people who get why running is a great way to celebrate.

What would you like your first finish of the new year to mean to you?

The calendar changes for everyone on January 1. How you choose to begin the year is entirely up to you.

At New Years Double, your goal might be a new distance, a faster finish, or simply starting the year by doing something good for yourself.

Run or walk a 5K. Take on a half marathon. Go after 26.2. Join us on New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, or both.

There’s no single right way to start the year, and no goal too big or too small to matter.

What goal would you like to bring to the start line?

Extraordinary things are often accomplished by people with very ordinary lives.

People with jobs, families, responsibilities and training plans that don’t always go according to plan.

They aren’t fearless. They don’t wake up motivated every morning. They simply keep giving themselves another chance to show up.

Greatness isn’t reserved for elite athletes or the people at the front of the race. Sometimes it looks like starting something that scares you, continuing when it gets hard or reaching a finish line you once believed belonged to someone else.

What extraordinary thing are you working toward?

Every experienced runner has a first race somewhere in their story.

They once wondered what to wear, whether they would finish and if everyone else knew something they didn’t.

Being new doesn’t mean you don’t belong. It means you’re learning.

Choose a manageable goal. Practice the basics. Read the race information. Ask the questions that are on your mind. Then arrive ready to experience something new.

The Active Joe community has room for first-timers, returning runners and people still figuring out what kind of runner they want to become.

What do you wish someone had told you before your first race?

There’s no one pace that belongs out here.

We celebrate all speeds
offer flexible cutoffs
and believe that if you finish, you’re a finisher—period.

However you move, you’re part of this.
