Ed loves playing guitar, but complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) makes it tough; CRPS causes numbness, swelling and pain in his right hand.

To help out Ed, our 3D printing lab, alongside the Forks rehabilitation team, produced a custom guitar pick. Now Ed can strum his guitar all day long. 🎸

Feeding therapy during inpatient pediatric rehabilitation gives babies and their parents the opportunity to work alongside therapists to build feeding skills, develop strategies and prepare them for a successful transition home.

Twenty-five years ago, doctors told Gary he may never walk again after a car accident.

Even after a second accident, Gary kept pushing. Today, he walks on his own and maintains his family’s 15-acre property. Gary credits outpatient rehabilitation with helping to maintain his strength and improve his quality of life.

Applications are now open for Good Shepherd's 2027 Externship Program. Available to sophomores, juniors and seniors enrolled in an undergrad program, this opportunity is particularly geared toward those studying healthcare administration, business and other related majors.
