Turf Team Knocking it out of the park! What a season so far…

We lost a great friend & colleague. We will never forget “Tank”. The greatest surrounds operator in the Northeast. Worked harder than any 20 year old. You are greatly missed.

Spring is rolling right along frosty mornings but high and dry afternoons. Getting ready for 80 on Monday! Continuing our Audubon work with some Bat Houses behind 11 Green. This will be beneficial in controlling insects on the course.

Spring greens aerification is complete! We’ll start working on tees & approaches next. Hopefully the course can dry out enough to finally get the remaining winter debris cleaned up. Happy Golfing.

Never a dull moment at Allentown Municipal Golf Course!! Quite the sinkhole in #9 green! Looks like some more excavation is in store.

Well all in all it could be worse. Lots of pine branches but the worst of it is a sinkhole in #9 green. Eroding banks, flooding, & lots of debris. More winter weather on the way!

The season may be winding down but the maintenance team is still going strong. Irrigation blow out, tree removal, and our latest John Deere Triplex has arrived with our new True Surface rollers. Enjoy the warm weather and please respect the course.
