The Lehigh County Coroner's Office & Forensic Center is proud to announce the continued modernization of our fleet with the addition of another vehicle.
Over the past five years, our office has made significant investments to ensure our deputies and staff have reliable, safe, and professional transportation to serve the residents of Lehigh County 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Our fleet currently consists of eight vehicles, including five Ford Interceptors (2022-2026), a Chevrolet Tahoe (2025), a Ford Transit Van (2026), and a GMC Pickup Truck (2025).
As our fleet has evolved, we have focused on acquiring vehicles that are dependable, versatile, and easy to clean, sanitize, and maintain both inside and out. Each vehicle is equipped with the supplies and equipment necessary to support death investigations, community outreach, and special operations.
We remain committed to providing our staff with the tools and resources necessary to serve our community with professionalism, compassion, and excellence—24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

It's Friday and it's time for a CT Scanner Project Update!
As these photos show, construction is well underway within our morgue and forensic facility. While autopsy operations continue uninterrupted, crews have been working diligently to prepare the new CT Scanner suite, including the construction of dedicated scanning and control rooms.
Once completed, this technology will provide our office with advanced postmortem imaging capabilities, allowing for enhanced forensic investigations, improved documentation, and an additional tool to assist in determining cause and manner of death. The CT Scanner will further strengthen our commitment to providing the highest level of professional service to the citizens of Lehigh County.
This project is another significant step forward for our nationally accredited forensic center and reflects our ongoing investment in innovation, education, and excellence in death investigation.
We look forward to sharing additional updates as construction progresses toward completion later this month!

Today, our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, loved ones, and law enforcement colleagues of Officer Kristen Yeager, who tragically lost her life in the line of duty while serving her community.
This loss hits especially close to home for the Lehigh County Coroner's Office & Forensic Center. Our office is comprised of both current and former law enforcement officers who understand firsthand the commitment, sacrifice, and risks that come with wearing the badge. We know that behind every uniform is a person, a family, and a community that loves and depends on them.
Officer Yeager's commitment to service, courage, and dedication will not be forgotten. Her sacrifice serves as a solemn reminder of the dangers law enforcement officers face each day as they work to keep our communities safe.
On behalf of the Lehigh County Coroner's Office & Forensic Center, we extend our deepest condolences to Officer Yeager's family, the Central Berks Police, and all those mourning this tremendous loss.
Rest easy, Officer Yeager. Your watch has ended, but your legacy of service and sacrifice will live on forever.
