Taking time to appreciate Coach Rick Perez of Reading High School who just resigned today. Perez will be remembered as one of the best PA coaches in the 21st century. Reading, a public school, won 3 state championships in PA's highest classification DURING THE TIMEFRAME OF PHILLY BEING IN THE STATE TOURNAMENT. He built a culture at Reading that is envied across the state and respected on the east coast. But more importantly during his 12 years, I know of at least three of his assistants that went on to be high school head coaches.
