Even got to catch a selfie with ‘Zeus’ the Great Horned owl.
Probably my favorite is the Barred Owl. Her name is ‘Owl Capone.’

Y’all get out on this beautiful weekend in Georgia and paddle your kids…around a lake. Sweetwater has a terrific flat water reservoir and some super good trails to hike, too. And trout fishing.

This made me chuckle so I had to share. I don't know about you, but I've never executed a launch after a portage QUITE this smoothly. There's usually ongoing issues like too much gear to fit in the boat, ankle breaking rocks, knee-deep mud, a torrent of mosquitos hastening the departure, and the inability to locate the map you swear you just had in your hand. If only all trips ran this smoothly!
