Whatever changes you need to make to meet your health and fitness goals should be repeated for 40 days. Neurological studies have shown that repeating a behavior for 40 days will change the neural pathways and create a new pattern or habit.
You may have longer term goals than you can completely accomplish in this amount of time, so break up your main goal into smaller ones, starting with the challenge to stick with them for 40 days, about 6 weeks. Achieve this, and the routine will become much easier.

Recipe of the Month:
I'm committed to trying a new tasty & healthy recipe at least once a month. I just tried this one for Creamy Potato-Asparagus-Turkey soup, and with a couple of tweaks it was really good, and filling. I added grated Pecorino Cheese, Crackers, and Turkey Bacon bits.

Weight training is an age eraser, according to Tufts University Exercise Lab.
On average, adults lose 1% of muscle mass each year after the age of 30 - Yikes! Not to worry, a study shows that two months of strength training can reverse two decades of strength loss in older adults (Hurley and Roth - 2000).
