Here's something worth knowing and repeating: Despite a lot of anti-aging nonsense, people can improve with age in all kinds of ways.

A long-term Yale study tracked thousands of adults over 65 for up to 12 years and found that nearly half of them did so — in cognitive function, physical function, or both. Not a small, select group of exceptional people. Nearly half.

Earlier Yale research found that people with positive attitudes about aging live an average of seven and a half years longer than those with more negative views — a bigger effect than not smoking, maintaining a healthy weight, or exercising regularly.
