Why is it important to have a good warm-up?
A proper warm-up is one of the most important parts of any training session, practice, or competition. It prepares the body and mind for the demands of exercise while reducing injury risk and improving performance and other benefits like⬇️
1️⃣Increases Muscle Temperature🔥
As muscles warm up, they become more pliable and contract more efficiently. Warmer muscles can generate force faster and move through greater ranges of motion.
2️⃣Increases Blood Flow and Oxygen Delivery‼️
Heart rate gradually rises during a warm-up, increasing circulation to working muscles. This allows muscles to receive more oxygen and nutrients needed for performance.
3️⃣Reduces Injury Risk💪
While no warm-up can completely prevent injuries, preparing muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints for activity can reduce the likelihood of strains, pulls, and other soft-tissue injuries.
4️⃣Enhances Mental Readiness📈
Warm-ups help athletes transition from daily activities into training or competition mode. This improves focus, concentration, confidence, and preparedness.
A proper warm-up prepares the cardiovascular, muscular, and nervous systems for activity. Making it one of the highest-return investments an athlete can make before training or competition.🔥‼️💪

We are proud of you Abby, keep up the great work🔥🏐
Why isometric core exercises?
Isometric core exercises involve creating and maintaining tension in the trunk without movement. These exercises offer several benefits for athletes and general fitness, such as:
1. Improves Core Stability📈
The primary benefit of isometric core training is increased stability of the spine and pelvis. A stable core provides a solid foundation for force production in the arms and legs during athletic movements such as sprinting, jumping, cutting, and lifting.
2. Enhances Force Transfer💪
Athletic performance depends on efficiently transferring force between the lower and upper body. A stronger, more stable core helps reduce energy leaks, allowing athletes to generate and transmit force more effectively.
3. Reduces Injury Risk🔥
Isometric exercises improve the ability of the trunk muscles to resist unwanted movement, helping protect the spine and reducing the likelihood of low back injuries. They also improve pelvic control, which may help reduce stress on the hips and knees.
4. Builds Muscular Endurance‼️
Many sports require athletes to maintain posture and body position for extended periods. Isometric core training develops the endurance needed to sustain proper mechanics throughout practices, games, and competitions.
Spring sports are coming to an end soon and Summer is right around the corner🔥
Now is an awesome opportunity to focus on your training and put in the time, effort, and energy into your athletic performance and make improvements in areas that can help you continue to work towards reaching your goals‼️

This weeks Feature Friday goes out to the Stepp Bros Xavier, Gabe, and Eli‼️
These 3 have been training with for almost 4 years now and have never failed to bring in a great attitude and give their absolute best effort in everything🔥
Xavier, Gabe, and Eli always come with great energy and they have amazing work ethics and never shy away from a challenge💪
It’s a great pleasure to be able to work with these 3, keep up the great work‼️ Big things are coming soon🔥💪
Medicine ball movements‼️🔥
Medicine ball training is one of the most effective ways to develop athletic power, coordination, and full-body explosiveness because it allows athletes to move dynamically and produce force in multiple directions, checkout some of the benefits⬇️
Explosive Power Development
Medicine ball movements train the body to produce force quickly. Because the load is relatively light, athletes can move at high velocities, which is critical for power production.
Improves Rate of Force Development (RFD)
Medicine ball exercises teach the nervous system to generate force rapidly. Faster force production is essential in most athletic movements. Athletes who can apply force faster are often more explosive.
Medicine ball training can bridge the gap between strength and sport movement.💪🔥‼️

This week we want to give a huge shout out to Ally Riewesetahl‼️🏊♀️
Ally has been training with us for almost a year now and ever since she started, she has always approached every day with her best attitude and no matter how hard the challenge is, Ally is going to give her absolute best effort and crush anything that comes her way💪🔥
In Ally’s first year with us she has been putting amazing numbers:
10YD Sprint: 2.121s➡️1.828s🔥
Build 10 Fly 10: 1.602s➡️1.445s🏎️
Pro-Agility: 5.943s➡️5.125s‼️
CMJ: 10.8”➡️13”📈
IMTP: 1432N➡️1640N
Awesome job, Ally‼️ Your great consistency, attitude, and work ethic have been paying off and will continue to do so. There’s a bright future ahead of you‼️🔥💪🏊♀️
Training the soleus muscle is something we spend a lot of time on every week in our training. Here's why 🤔
The Soleus is a main component in force/power absorption and is a big driver of force/power in the initial striking of the ground and then pushing off in a sprint or reactive jump. It often needs to manage 5x - 8x an athletes body weight of force in a fraction of a second 🤯
So we need to stress the soleus, often, and include some heavy loading to help it prepare for the demands of a sprint or jump. Doing so helps with the propulsion, absorption, and the potential to move/absorb more force/power in a quick fashion‼️

A busy week of baseball and softball games but we wouldn't have it any other way ‼️🔥⚾️🥎
Always a pleasure to watch athletes do what they love! Good luck to everyone as they finish out their seasons strong 💪
