Played probably 3 or 4 Danish Opens Crowds were awesome always, and from the very first round. Few Birdies on this hole was fun. Shows doesn’t have to be a long par 3 to be great.

Monday Qualifiers… Young Pro Landscape. This 2005 John Deere Event. Everything these last couple years has been for less Monday Q, or limited fields and players. Exclusions. Not many jobs out on the Tours. It’s always been this way, but it has been even tougher on the young pros last few yrs to cut teeth and succeed.
—-Understand the business side and Tour wanting stars to shine and see more of them always on TV. Even though the statistics aren’t good for those that Monday Q into a tournament, but for the health of the game and feeling there is always a chance to play or work your way into an event is important. This wasn’t quite a crazy great wk or anything, but many have taken opportunities, done amazing things or have spurred them on to a qschool or a future win, and climb the ladder and become a star. Keep making less opportunities guys will start to feel like it’s impossible to breakthrough and will never know. And it is already a tough one!

This was found recently in a stack of newspaper clippings my mom had saved. Back when paper was a thing 😂. Was fun to look. My Aunt in Davenport had sent this from local paper to my mom, other was from DSM Register. Believe I had about a 4 hole playoff as well on that Monday to get in. Fun to see some stats there I hit it fine, just needed a few more to drop. I had played some big events already a US Open, won in Asia, played European Events, but this was a very memorable wk being close and with family and friends there cheering on.

Very Honored to have been selected for HOF! Thanks to those who have had great contributions for Iowa Golf on and off the course…and those currently at it to make it great. We have a lot to be proud of past and present, from the courses, professionals, amateurs and the organizations. I gave it a run playing, Iowa hometown location hit quite a few spots Internationally and Stateside, liked to have done more but gave it my best run.. tks.

Just announced – The Iowa Golf Hall of Fame will add three members in 2026, bringing the total number in the Hall of Fame to 108. Those three include Ross deBuhr, Jason Knutzon and Denmar Miller.

Think I thought those trousers were fun at some point but quickly became my practice round pant when had no laundry on the road, nice to have a photo of them from a quiet Monday Practice Round :) goes with the motto of Look Good, Feel Good, Play Good —

Back at it on Monday, Happy 4th weekend everyone. Okoboji has been a special spot in our Knutzon family for a long time.

Happy Father’s Day to the Dads out there, Let Landon give it a hit at end of day after somehow getting thru watching me play a few holes at a tourney..Libby was only a few months old in the stroller. Fun memory for Dad.

A special Happy Mother’s Day to my mom, difficult couple years Dementia striking fast and hard, at a still young 70, wont know she gets a little extra love today…but thanks for being a great mom.

She enjoyed golf, always positive with my tourneys, and know some of my golfing repeatability and quirks came from her. Couple of the pics here came from Dunhill Links tourney in Scotland she really enjoyed that trip.

Fun to help Matt and the Drake golf team the last couple wks as an assistant, help the guys come up with some numbers.

The college scene and team atmosphere is hard to match. Memories last a long time from that period. Matt and I were at Iowa State just a few yrs back : ) Good group of guys.. always rooting for Matt and the program!

Roughly 8 years ago today. Time goes fast… Family experience on 16th hole, sometimes a rare find😎. Thanks for sharing .oas , really miss our Oas Family across the street in AZ, especially about now:)
