Progressive Dinner Ride

The Altoona Trail Riders had their annual Progressive Dinner Ride on 2/22/25. The club rode to farms bordering the Ocala Forest in Altoona, for appetizers, dinner and dessert. About 40 riders participated in the ride and 20 non riding members and volunteers that helped at all the stops. Our first stop was John and Paige Chassie's beautiful farm for appetizers, then an hour or so loop thru the forest to Lake Dorr for a dip and then to Twisted Oaks Farm for dinner. The members all brought a dish and we had a delicious selection!! The ATR set up some high ties, and there were pastures and paddocks for the horses that needed more space. After stuffing our faces we got back on our trusty steeds and rode back to the Chassie's for dessert. oh, forgot to mention there was a poker run too!!! So much fun!! let's do it again next year!!
