Charmayne has been able to get some racing in the past 3 weekends. We've been working on setup she likes and fine tuning it for her! She made practice night at Port City 2 weeks ago and was finally finding speed and getting comfortable. She went out the first race night and got flipped first lap of her heat. Thanks to Thomas Nunley for the spare wings and to Logan Hoskins for all the help putting it together for the B Feature! She started last & missed the transfer by 2 spots. Saturday she was fast but started last in her fast heat and had to run the B Feature. She was up to 4th in the B when she got hit trying to miss a wreck and broke her front end.
This past weekend, she ran at I-44 Speedway and drew dead last again. She drove to 3rd in her heat and put her starting 4th in the A. She fell back a little at the start and was able to drive back to 5th with no cautions. She turned the 3rd fastest lap time and was happy to load it in one piece!

Charmayne concluded her first Sooner Speedweeks last night in her restricted micro. We were able to get fueling tuned for her and a setup to help her be more competitive. We knew that these races were going to have some of the toughest competitors and we set goals to try to make the A Feature each night. She had a rough night Wed at Creek County but despite it all, she transfered out of the B Feature to make the A Feature. She was running 15th when she got a hard right rear to the left front and broke the car.
Thursday at I-44 Speedway, she drew a super fast group for heat and an extremely dry slick track. She definitely had a lot to learn and missed the transfer out of the B by 2 positions.
We all regrouped and Charmayne was able to overcome a lot on Friday at I-44 with a tough track. She qualified 5th out of 8 in her group and P5 to P5 in her heat. Ran the B and transfered to the A!! She started 20th and was running 14th before a caution that dropped her back to a 16th on the restart and that's where she finished.
Very proud of Charmayne to be able to run her first National NOW 600 series race and make the A Feature 2 out of 3 shows.
It's taken us longer to get this car together than we've wanted, but she's absolutely enjoying racing it now!!

We're finally getting Charmayne's restricted micro way closer on tuning! She ran the first night of the Sooner Speedweeks last night at Creek County Speedway. She's never raced at that track before, but she drove hard and learned a lot!
She qualified 7th out of 9 cars in her group & 7th to 7th in the Heat race. The car was SUPER loose after getting hit in the right front hard the first lap. We tightened it up for the B Feature and she transfered to her first A Feature at a national points Race!
We realized right before the A Feature, she had a bent right front axle from her heat race but no time to fix it! She started 20th and was up to 15th when she took a hard right rear to her left front and broke it.
But, so happy to be gaining on speed and able to be more competitive!
Ready for Night #2 now at I-44 Speedway.

I got to meet Kyle Busch the first year I raced at the Tulsa Shootout. I'm saddened to learn of his passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
