The Kentucky Miniature Horse Breeder’s Club (KMHBC) is the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission affiliate and represents the Miniature Horse Breeders in the Kentucky Breeders’ Incentive Fund (KBIF). The purpose of the KMHBC is to promote the miniature horse, to educate owners, members, and other interested parties; and to unite all miniature horse owners to apply for the Kentucky Breeders’ Incentive Fund.

Participation in the KBIF may:

1. Increase the price of Kentucky Bred miniature horses that you sell.
2. Increase the market for your Kentucky Bred miniatures.
3. Kentucky Bred horses that you show may receive payouts from KBIF based on their show performance.

It is time once again to shine the spotlight on our amazing Halter Futurity Sponsors!! We are so fortunate to have their support!

ME-HE Miniatures owned by Mary Lou and Harry Elder, is a small farm located near the foothills just off I-25 approximately 50 miles north of Denver, Colorado and 40 miles south of Cheyenne, Wyoming. They have lived at this address since 1982.

They bought their first miniature horse “Marwins Jay K” in 1986. Jay is 42 years old and still living the good life retired in Florida with their Son and his family.

In 1991 they went to their first World Show in Ogden, Utah. The excitement and fun of that trip has stayed with them forever. They have only missed one World Show since then.

In 2020 they were considering retiring from showing horses when John Bennett sent Mary Lou a picture of a little c**t that she just had to have. So they turned the page one more time and it has been a dream come true for them, when Indian Peaks Daring Desperado became a part of their family and program.

Desperado was World Reserve Grand Champion Jr. Stallion and World Amateur Grand Champion Jr Stallion in 2021and he won World Reserve Champion 2 Yr. Old Stallion in 2022!

He is already proving his blood line as well! His first year at the 2024 Worlds Futurity he placed in the top Ten Futurity Sires. This year at the 2026 World Show he will have 4 foals competing in the futurity classes.

We are proud to say that Indian Peaks Daring Desperado, son of Indian Peaks Dare to Impress, is giving Dare some nice grandbabies!
