🏁🏆 WHAT AN INCREDIBLE 2026 NHRA SEASON AT Amarillo Dragway!!! 🏆🏁
As we close out our 2026 racing season, I find myself reflecting on so much more than just the races we've run, the winners we've celebrated, or the championships that have been earned. I reflect on the people, the friendships, the memories, the challenges we've overcome, and the incredible racing family that makes Amarillo Dragway what it is!
First and foremost, THANK YOU!
Thank you to every racer who pulled through our gates this season. Whether you raced with us every weekend, traveled hundreds of miles to compete, or joined us for the very first time, YOU were part of making this season successful!
Thank you to our spectators, families, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters. Your continued encouragement, loyalty, and belief in Amarillo Dragway mean more than you'll ever realize.
To our AMARILLO DRAGWAY STAFF, I simply cannot express enough gratitude for each of you. You've worked long hours, endured extreme temperatures, battled unpredictable weather, made sacrifices, and given so much of yourselves to make this facility something we can all be proud of. The chemistry, unity, dedication, and heart of this team are what make it so special. I've said it many times, and I'll say it again: We have an incredible TEAM, and I couldn't be more proud of you!
🏆 CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF OUR 2026 RACE WINNERS AND RUNNER-UPS!
Throughout this season, we've witnessed some incredible racing, close finishes, personal bests, first-time victories, and unforgettable moments in the winner's circle!
Whether you took home a Wally, a trophy, a paycheck, or simply the satisfaction of competing against some of the best racers around, I hope you recognize the accomplishments you've made this year.
Every victory represents countless hours of preparation, dedication, determination, and perseverance. Congratulations to each and every one of you!
🏆 A SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2026 AMARILLO DRAGWAY NHRA POINTS CHAMPIONS! 🏆
🏁 BOX CHAMPION – Jackie Armstrong
🏁 NO-BOX CHAMPION – Kolby Barber
🏁 SPORTSMAN CHAMPION – Bryant Parrott
🏁 JUNIOR DRAGSTER CHAMPION – Chase Egan
What an accomplishment! A championship isn't earned in one race or one weekend. It's earned through an entire season of consistency, determination, hard work, and the ability to overcome adversity. Each of you has earned the honor of being called a 2026 AMARILLO DRAGWAY NHRA CHAMPION!
To our Junior racers, I want you to know how proud I am of you! You're not just the future of drag racing; you're an important part of its present. Watching you grow as racers and, more importantly, as young men and women is one of the greatest rewards of being involved in this sport.
I also want to express my sincere appreciation to the NHRA and our NHRA South Central Division 4 leadership of Jonathan Johnson and Paige Hamlin for their support, encouragement, and partnership throughout this season. It's been an honor to represent NHRA drag racing here in the Texas Panhandle.
And to our sponsors, THANK YOU for investing in something much bigger than racing. Your support helps us provide a place where families gather, friendships develop, young people learn responsibility, and racers can enjoy the sport they love in a safe environment.
Not every weekend went as planned. We battled weather, faced difficult decisions, experienced disappointments, and encountered challenges that tested us. But through it all, we continued to move forward together.
I've always believed that the success of a racetrack cannot be measured solely by car counts, financial numbers, or how many races we complete. True success is also measured by the lives we impact, the relationships we build, the integrity we demonstrate, and the memories people carry with them long after the engines have gone silent.
Personally, I thank the Lord for the opportunity to serve this racing community. I know that every opportunity, every relationship, and every door opened is part of His greater plan. My prayer has always been that we make a difference in people's lives, both on and off the racetrack.
As we look back on this season, I hope each of you will remember more than your win-loss record. Remember the laughter in the pits, the friendships made, the helping hands extended, the excitement of the starting line, and the people who made this year special.
Because at the end of the day, trophies will collect dust, race cars will change, and seasons will come and go, but the relationships and memories we create can last a lifetime.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for allowing me to be part of your racing family and for making the 2026 NHRA season at Amarillo Dragway one to remember!
Congratulations again to ALL of our race winners, runner-ups, and 2026 NHRA Points Champions!
We thrived in 2025, and in 2026, we proved that TOGETHER WE CAN GO FURTHER!
God bless each of you, and thank you for an incredible season!
