FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Due to rain and chilly weather in the forecast for this Friday night, this weekend's Summit Racing USMTS event at Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas, has been postponed to August 21-22, 2026.

With rising fuel prices and the possibility of only completing one night of racing, USMTS officials felt it did not make sense to ask race teams and fans to travel as far as some would need to under uncertain conditions.

As of this moment, Route 66 Motor Speedway is 𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐎 𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐄 𝐀 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐃𝐀𝐘, depending on how much rain the facility receives between now and then.
