The Minors and Majors seasons came to a close last night with two exciting championship games. Congratulations to all of our teams, players and coaches for the time, effort, and dedication they put into the season.

Ames Storm Baseball is Growing — Join Us for 2027 Tryouts!

We’re excited to begin building our 2027 Ames Storm teams! Last season was our biggest yet, and we can’t wait to welcome even more players into the program.

New to Ames Storm? Come show us your skills at one of our FREE tryout dates! (Current Storm players will be evaluated during their regular team practices and do not need to attend.)

📅 Choose one date:
⚾ Wednesday, June 24
⚾ Wednesday, July 8

📍 Hunziker Fields 1–4
🕔 Check-in at 5:15 PM
🕠 Tryouts begin at 5:30 PM
⏱️ Approximately 60–75 minutes

Tryouts are for players entering 8U (2nd grade) through 14U (8th grade) for the 2027 season. Please bring a glove, helmet, and bat if you have one.

Our mission is to give as many kids as possible the opportunity to play baseball, grow their skills, build confidence, and love the game.

AYB Nights @ Little Cyclone Baseball
June 12- Rookies and Blastball night!
June 15- Minors, Majors and Tee Ball night
June 19- Storm Night

⚾️Ames High Varsity plays a doubleheader each night, with games beginning at 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
⚾️Players should wear their AYB jerseys.
⚾️AYB players receive free admission.
⚾️Families are encouraged to arrive for the first game and enjoy watching Ames High baseball.
⚾️Following Game 1 (approximately 7:00 PM), an announcement will be made for AYB players to meet by the gate.
⚾️Players will be invited onto the field to play catch while the field is prepared for Game 2.
⚾️Before the start of Game 2, players will line up with the Ames High team for player introductions and the National Anthem.

Come support a great group of student athletes who have supported AYB in a variety of ways this year from camps and clinics to helping with practices and AYB day. See you at the high school field 2005 24th street. Bring your glove and cheer loud for our Little Cyclones!
