Dream Spirit Farm Riding Camps

Anyone looking for a really awesome , reasonably priced day riding camp, we have a few spots left in 3 different weeks Cowboy, gymkhana and Adventure weeks. Unique camp . Each camper gets their "own" horse for the week. Lots of riding time as well as many other fun activities. Camp is for campers 8 to 18 (senior in HS) 2 camps run Monday to Thursday and Adventure camp (for campers 12 to 18) with strong intermediate or advanced riding skills. This camp runs Monday through Friday with a sleepover on Thursday night

Most of our summer camps are filled for this year. We do unexpectedly have2 spots available in our Adventure week of camp, August 14 to August 18. This is a day camp. We do not offer overnight camps. This particular week of camp is for riders 12 to 18 , This is a more advanced camp than our other weeks of camp. It is for riders who are intermediate to advanced riders, meaning they can bring a horse in from the field independently, ride w/t/c confidently and work well with group activities as well as independently. Each camper gets their "own" horse for the week. We do also allow students with their own horses to bring their horse to camp for the week. Free dry stall (owner of the horse brings their own shavings, grain and hay) campers must come early to clean their horse's stall. We are a MA licensed stable and riding program and our staff all all adults, either teacher or licensed instructors. We are fully insured.
Adventure week is like 5 camps in one. Each day is a different theme , for instance one day is games day , where campers do gymkhana events and other riding games such as sit a buck, horse soccer, broom polo, boot race, etc. Another day is cowboy day where campers learn to lead and bathe this year's calves, herd the yearlings and adult cattle. Learn about team penning, herding and sorting. Another day is trail day where campers learn about show trail patterns, do a trail ride with swimming the horses in the lake out back, The remaining days each have their own themes as well. We have one spot left in Adventure camp August 15-20 . This camp is for campers 12-18 who have riding experience. Must be able to tack their own horse and have a minimum of walk trot by their self . Campers will be using western tack. Adventure camp is a different theme each day. One day is ranch day one day is the trail day, one day is games day, one day is cowboy day, The fifth day campers practice for their demo for family and friends in the morning and do the demo after lunch. Each camper has their "own" horse for the week. Campers who do own their own horse can bring and board their horse here for camp for the week if they want.
This camp is designed for riders in middle and high school who would like a more challenging riding camp experience.
We'll be doing a triathlon, herding cattle, swimming with the horses, pairs treasure hunt , etc.

2022 Dream Spirit Farm Summer Camps are as follows
Week 1 Cowboy week
Monday July 11- Friday July 15
This camp is suitable for campers 8-18 beginner to advanced riders. Some of the events for cowboy week are , horseback treasure hunt, herding cows, gymkhana games, cowboy mounted shooting (with sq**rt guns) weekly arts and crafts project and swimming with the horses. Western tack is used,
Week 2 Gymkhana week
Monday August 1 - Friday August 5
This camp is suitable for campers 8 to 18, beginner to advanced riders. Some events for this week of camp are: Traditional gymkhana races and a variety of games on horseback such as broom polo, horse soccer, boot race, relay races and many more. We'll also be doing a treasure hunt and swim with the ponies as well as our weekly arts and crafts project.
Week 3 Adventure riding camp
Monday August 15- Friday August 19
This camp is for riders 12 to 18 yrs old that have a minimum of strong independent w/t at speed , with control in and out of the arena. Ability to lead, groom (including cleaning feet) and tack horse without help. This camp will have a daily "adventure" Sort of a theme each day. Example would be games day another example would be triathlon day. I'm still working out the order of our 5 daily themes. All information will be in the camp packets.
Cost and all forms and information will be in the camp packet. As always we use adult staff. We are licensed and insured. Each camper gets their "own" horse for the week.
To request a camp packet please PM me. As I mentioned before current lesson students will receive camp packets first. I automatically mail out packets to current students. No student will be registered until a receive completed forms and $100 deposit per week signed up for. We do not accept on line or FAXEd forms. Payment is check or cash.
