We still have a few show shirt orders that have not been picked up. If you ordered, and have not picked yours up, they will be available at Tuesday’s practice (9/15) from 7-9 at the stadium.

🇺🇸 25 years later, We Remember.

Our students weren’t born yet. They didn’t witness the events or experience the heartbreak firsthand. But yesterday, they carry the flag—and with it, the responsibility to remember and honor.

The lives lost.
The heroes who served.
The families forever changed.

May this generation carry their stories forward, so that those who come after them will remember too.

After last night’s VERY humid evening, we have updated the Band’s Wishlist with items needed/wanted.

If you chose to donate items on the list but purchase elsewhere, or have on hand already, you can send them in with your student or drop them off in the band room during practice!

Thank you to the families that donated bottled Gatorade during camp, it saved the kids last night!!! It was an item we never needed/requested previously but REALLY appreciated having on hand last night! Who would have thought 75° could feel that hot and miserable!!!!

This week, 280 students from the Amherst Marching Comets and Lorain’s Band will be recharged after their halftime performance with refreshments during 3rd quarter thanks to James Miller Premier Real Estate Agent!

We are incredibly grateful to James Miller for sponsoring this week’s halftime refreshments and supporting our students! 💚🎶💛

THANK YOU The Kneaded Touch Massage Therapy for supporting the Amherst Bands!

Because of their generous support, 170 students will be recharged this week after their halftime performance with refreshments for both the Amherst Marching Comets and Buckeye Band during 3rd quarter.
We are so grateful to have community partners like The Kneaded Touch cheering on our students and the Amherst Bands!

Show your Comet pride and let everyone know who you’re cheering for with this year's show shirt! Sale ends Tuesday August 25th! 💚💛

IMPORTANT FOR STUDENTS: We highly recommend purchasing a second show t-shirt in case of loss, damage, or those quick game-to-competition turnarounds. Students are required to wear an unaltered show shirt under their uniform and/or during parades.

Pick-Up: Date will be announced once we receive the ETA from our supplier.

Shakos will be available for purchase this week during evening practices from 6–9 PM!

Look for the person with the SHAKO SALE sign on a cardboard box! Cash or Venmo only.

We are beyond excited to DEBUT our brand-new marching band uniforms at our first game on August 21st at Sandusky!

But for now… here’s your SNEAK PEEK!

These uniforms have been made possible by the incredible generosity of our band families, community, donors, and Uniform Sponsors. We cannot thank you enough for helping make this dream a reality!

And we’re not done yet! Our next goal is to raise funds for NEW Color Guard uniforms and flag silks for next season.

Just one week ago, this group came together for the first time this season. After an incredible 1st week of Band Camp (8 AM–9 PM), they’ll be back at it again next week for week 2!

Thank you to everyone who cheered them on at Alumni Fest during their first performance of the 2026–2027 school year, and to everyone who stopped by the Amherst Bands booth to share your favorite band memories.
