in the capacity of Academic Advisor, Adjunct Professor and Dean of Admissions. In 2007 he founded the Male Empowerment Seminar that have mentored and coached over 2000 boys in New York State. Dr. Wright developed and ran workshops and seminars for the several Caribbean Islands including Jamaica, St. Kitts and Nevis and Trinidad in the area of education management, self-development, organizational behavior and efficiency models. He holds a Doctorate Degree in Education from St. John Fisher College in Rochester NY, his dissertation tittle “Lessons Learned From College –Educated Employed Black Male Mentors: A Qualitative Anti-Deficit Study of College Persistence & Career Success” is the culmination of 10 years of work inspiring youth within the New York City Public School System. The purpose of this qualitative, hermeneutic, phenomenological study was to learn how college-educated, employed Black males’ mentors successfully completed their undergraduate degrees and went on to be success stories in their career fields. The research focused on college persistence and career success by asking the mentors to comment about their experiences along four pipeline points (precollege socialization and readiness, college achievement, post college success, and employment post-graduation). He is dedicated to inspiring youth, college students and professionals through his practical and proven approach to creating change through education. Dr. Wright’s motto “Failure is not an option” has been the staple of his success. Dr. Wright’s straight-from-the-heart, passionate message motivates and engages all audiences to step into their greatness, by providing them with practical approach to take the next step toward living their dream.
