On October 18th our niece Rebecca (Becca) married her love Joe in a beautiful outdoor ceremony in north Georgia. Becca has been working with us at the lodge for the last 4 years. Her beau, Joe, joined us last summer. They make quite a duo. We are fortunate to have them on our team. We were thrilled to share in their love and joy.

Saying goodbye to our last clients of the season. A wonderful group of young people from Wisconsin. Thank you to all who made this another fun and successful season. Captain Mereidi for her expertise with getting the clients on fish and to Joe and Becca for being the best help we could ever have. Always cheerful and doing any and everything needed to make this a memorable experience for all of us.

Hikes through the rainforest and to see artifacts and buildings left from the 1964 earthquake and the people who inhabited this land. Rainy/windy day activities include puzzles, card games, beach combing and time for reading.

Fun on the boat, lots of reeling and fish. The big halibut this season 97 pounds. As big as Melissa who caught it after 10 minutes of reeling.

The fishing has been awesome. Even a whale! Sadly it was a deceased whale. And despite the tsunami scare, the seas and weather have been calm.
