Happy to report that a good time was had at the inaugural Alaska State High School Championship presented by Innova. The kids had better weather on Sunday at Kincaid and no marauding moose issues either. Jai Badajos topped the field as our first HS state champ - well done Jai! We’ll do it again next year - tell a high school student that you know.

A gathering of outstanding men and women came out today at the Goon for the 12th Annual Anchorage Ice Bowl presented by Innova. It started cool but warmed up under beautiful skies, which was also true of both the play and mulligan usage. When it all settled both Scott Groves and Chris Foley had shot “perfect” -18s and it took another three holes of sudden death for Scott to prevail and claim the title. As befitting her general demeanor, Julia Musser took home the “Most Fun” trophy. And due to everyone’s generosity we will soon present Bean’s Cafe with a check for $1,530. Thank you all!

This was a slice of cherry/key lime pie from A Pie Stop. Was. Past tense. And it was very good. Thanks to Chef Killian for this and a gift certificate contribution to the raffle for Saturday’s Ice Bowl. Hit ‘em up for your pie needs.

We held our last Tuesday Night Putting League of the season on March 2nd and it was an all Montague affair, with Conor besting Jess in the finals. Anchorage Brewing Company has been an outstanding host for us this winter, but they need the space going forward to...wait for it...brew more beer. I guess it's their business model or something. Thank you to the great folks at ABC, Darcy, Caleb, Dallas and others who have been so good to us. We hope to be back next winter. If you need beer, they have very good beer.

Yes Virginia, there will be Putting League tonight, March 3 at Anchorage Brewing Company. Robbo won last week with a sterling performance.
