Linda has once again cleared the courts for open play today, 12-4 Boeke

We have added 2 new events to our website - registered open play for 3.5 and 4.0 as follows:

4.0 will play on Mondays at the ARC from 3:45-5:45 pm registration opens on September 9 at 12 noon.

3.5 will play on Wednesdays at the ARC from 3:45-5:45 pm registration opens on September 11 at 12 noon.

14 new Air Force players ended their Academy course learning the game of pickleball. Thanks to helpers, Haley Prato and Michele Hendrickson.

We are seniors

Picklers, Monday is our Labor Day potluck/open play. Looks like rain all day Sunday until Monday morning at 8 am.
We need at least 10 volunteers to help clear water and set up at 10 am. We currently have 2 volunteers.
If we do not get enough volunteers both the potluck and open play will be cancelled.

From Laurie Ford, her resolution to add more courts at Scenic Park was approved!

The resolution to add pickleball lines to the tennis court side passed last night! ❤️Thank you for all the support! I saw many of you signed in on Zoom and loved the friends who showed up for the meeting for Scenic Foothills Community Council. Next step is coordination with Anchorage Parks and Rec. Huge thank you to Nelta Edwards for presenting the resolution for me!!

Hi folks,
Tomorrow night at 6:30 at Beth Shalom, the Scenic Foothills Community Council is having a meeting at which I will be presenting a resolution to request that two additional pickleball court lines be added to the tennis court at Scenic Park. It would only be lines painted and not the full colored courts.
It is encouraged to have supporters attend this meeting and express shared sentiment.
If any pickleball folks have tomorrow night free and can show up at the meeting it would be greatly appreciated!
