Energetics: Deep yin, blood moving downward
TCM Focus: Nourish Blood, support Kidneys, gently move Liver
Common patterns: Fatigue, cold, low back ache → Kidney yang + Blood deficiency
Move slowly and keep the body warm, add breath to the kidney space (back of body below ribs, deep slow breathing)
Yin yoga is great for perimenopause too, helps stimulate qí flow and calm the nervous system. Come try a class or find time in the comfort of your own space to chill out. I highly recommend finding a ray of sunshine and a furry friend nearby.
Luna with Sol Yoga and Wellness
Somatics, sensuality, and sacredness. Yoga and movement through the senses.
I’ve been missing this connection to self.
All winter long I was relaxing, yes, but I was feeding others. Feeding the wolf that drove me to feed the ego, the fear-led thoughts
“This is my only time to catch up” I was resting physically more, but mentally chasing”
A what’s next, when…mentality.
And what this spring, new growth, is
remembering me to do is
Wiggle
Write
Witness
Me
Do connect again with
Me
Connect with
Her
God
Mother
Father
She
So though, I’m bummed to say that my upcoming Solmatic Soundbath where we were to going to move, listen, and write was about to be the bees knees. You can still wiggle, write, and witness yourself at any time.
Or join a 6:15pm Solmatic Sculpt class to help drop you into your body and deepen your connection.

Solmatics is a movement practice that brings soulfulness into somatic work—a space where physical intensity meets emotional awareness and presence.
This workout blends rhythmic cardio, grounding strength work, and breath with moments of deep internal listening. The practice invites you to move energy through the body, release tension, and reconnect with your inner rhythm.
This experience is not about performance or perfection.
It’s about moving, feeling, releasing, and returning to yourself.
Yes you’ll sweat. Yes you have uncomfortable moments. Yes, this is made to challenge you. Yes, you will come out stronger from it.
Held every Thursday at Thrive in Spenard Anchorage

Jenny has been a founding member of our community here at Luna with Sol and just completed her 101st class to be exact. Her family knows that Sundays and Thursdays are “mom’s time” and what a sacred time that is we share together.
Jenny, it has been an absolute pleasure having you in class and witnessing how to tap into your inner wisdom. I’ve seen you smile, I’ve seen you cry, I’ve heard you shout and I have felt your peace.
Thank you for the embracing hugs, the life-hacks and products you’ve shared with me, and most importantly thank you for your service to yourself. Keep holding space.

Solmatics is a movement practice designed to bring soulfulness into somatic work. This workout blends rhythmic cardio, breath, and grounding strength work to help move energy through the body and release tension.
This practice invites you to sweat, breathe, and listen inward—allowing movement to become a tool for emotional release and deeper connection to yourself.
For this special collaboration, the final portion of class transitions into a live sound bath meditation with giving the nervous system time to soften and integrate the movement experience. From there, participants are invited into optional reflective writing or poetry, offering space to capture what surfaced through the body, breath, and sound.
Solmatics is not about performance or perfection.
It’s about moving, feeling, releasing, and returning to yourself.
Movement → Sound → Reflection
Come sweat, breathe, and reconnect.

Spring Equinox marks the shift into the Wood element—a season of growth, vision, and movement.
After the inward energy of winter, our bodies are ready to stretch, release stagnation, and create space for new energy to flow.
This year carries the vibrant momentum of the Fire Horse, making it an especially powerful time to ground and balance our energy.
Join Stephanie and myself for a seasonal Yin + Pin practice combining yin yoga and acupuncture to support the liver + gallbladder meridians and align with the rhythm of spring.

Luna with sol
It’s always been an integration
Of the feminine with the masculine
That’s in us all
The union
Of the pursuit of pleasure
And being the recipient of it
THE pursuit of pleasure in your body IS the experience of the masculine and feminine within yourself.
You are divine.

Ummmm perhaps, just not right now…
Sometimes we need more time, to gather more information, to feel more prepared, to weigh the options.
Not every answer needs to be a yes, nor a no right away. Sometimes it’s a maybe.
This develops safety and trust in the body to really lean into listening and discerning. The maybe may even turn into a not never, and that’s cool too.
Whatever you feel is right, the main point is to notice and not to go against your better judgement. Due to peer pressure, lack of understanding, or people pleasing.
May this year be the year you trust your inner wisdom and express your voice.

Boundaries are so sexy. And defining what is a clear ‘no’ gives way to a what is truly desired.
When I am told ‘no’ and I follow it with a thank you; a sense of respect floods my body and an appreciation for their answer. Sure, maybe I was hoping for a different response, but it allows for a greater understanding of where we are at together. It feels much safer than someone saying “sure” when actually they are not being honest.
Same goes true, other way around. When you want to say ‘no’ but instead feel the pressure to say ‘yes’ you disconnect from you truth and may loose the trust that you feel deep within. You also do a disservice to the relationship or interaction you just had and it moves into a place of dependency, dishonesty, and disrespect.
Let your NO be sacred. Let it come from a place of self love and self respect. Honor your decisions and desires and move onward.

Neither one is right nor wrong.
We never know what one is really going through when they come to practice. Always good to offer kindness and compassion.
Though, yes, in a perfect world it be nice to close the door and lock out our feelings and the happening of the world outside of ourselves. Though escapism is not the answer. Dealing with whatever it is later, after this hour or so you’ve dedicated to yourself, will not solve your problems.
However, if you can allow yourself to feel into the depths of your emotions and move with it, then perhaps you can handle whatever comes from stepping off your mat, into the outside world, because you’ve allowed yourself a safe space to process them.
If you’re feeling grief, then move like you’re grieving. If you’re feeling frustrated then breathe out hot air. If you need stillness then be still. Eventually your body, and then your mind, will respond and you’ll be at peace, rather than if you shut out the world and force your body to release.
