November in Alaska reminds us that mother nature is in control. We have had some major snow storms hit us over the past couple of weeks. Even so the warriors here at Seibukan Jujutsu of Anchorage have shown their dedication and determination. I am pleased to announce the promotion of Herbie to the youth rank of Rokkyu and Joseph to the rank of Nikyu. Both of these young warriors have worked hard to earn these ranks. Omedetto to you both!

I am honored to announce the latest promotion here at Seibukan Jujutsu of Anchorage.
Angela was promoted to the rank of Ikkyu on Thursday. Angela's drive and determination have kept her progressing through this system. Being the only adult female warrior in our dojo, she is a great inspiration to our young ladies in our youth program. Next stop is Shodan, first degree black belt. She will be the first female black belt in over seven years at SJ Seibukan Jujutsu of Anchorage. Keep going Angela!

I am happy to announce Seibukan Jujutsu of Anchorage has a new Nidan. James W Knudson demonstrated his skills and understanding for the rank of 2nd degree black belt. As his father and Sensei I am always amazed how completely focused James is on achieving the goals he sets for himself. He is an amazing martial artist and a father couldn't ask for a better son.

We had an amazing demonstration for the rank of Gokkyu last night here at SJ of Anchorage. Jordyn crushed all of her requirements and some surprises we had for her. This young lady's determination is off the charts! Keep going!

I am pleased to announce Seibukan Jujutsu of Anchorage's newest ( brown belt ) Nikyu, Angela!! It has been some 3 years since our dojo promoted someone past the Sankyu level.
Whether it was Covid or one of life's many other challenges Angela stayed true to her training and commitment she made to herself. Angela crushed her demonstration, her presence on the mats is a bonus to all who get to train with her. Omedetto Angela, Keep going!!

It has been a busy couple of months since attending the Seibukan Gosshuku. I am happy to announce multiple promotions in our various classes.
To all of my students, Keep going! Set yourself up for success through rigorous training, dedication and commitment. Never be affraid to make mistakes. Know your inner strength. Most importantly be patient with yourself. Understanding and the ability to apply your hard earned skills will come.
Omedetto to Liam, Noah, Brooke, Jordyn, Blake, Lucas and Elijah on passing their tests and their upcoming demonstrations!!

Seibukan Jujutsu of Anchorage is pleased to announce the promotion of 2 determined students. Angela & Joseph to Yonkyu.
Angela is one of our fierce female warriors. She accepts new challenges and never backs down. Joseph shows tremendous dedication which is truly paying off. Joseph turned 14 recently and will be joining the adult class.

Seibukan Jujutsu of Anchorage is pleased to announce the promotion of 2 students. Noah and Riley both completed the requirements for Kyukyu in the childrens class. It is such a priviledge to guide these young warriors as they start down their martial path. I would like to thank my assistant Dom sensei, who helps me in this task.

As Head instructor at SJoAnchorage my heart is overflowing with happiness and is full of appreciation. Two young warriors have completed yet another goal on the journey in this art. Also we have had a few members return "back to the mats".
Congratulations to our newest Hachikyu, Elijah and our newest Gokyu Joseph. Both of these young men have tremendous work ethics and show a great aptitude for the concepts and ways of this art.
