Pack Creek is waking up.
Spring sedge, long light, and bears back in the meadows. This is how the season begins. Early summer is one of the best times to watch brown bears as they settle back into the rhythm of Alaska’s coast.

First course of the winter is in two weekends. Just in time for the arrival of winter in Juneau’s mountains. We’ve got room for you!
❄️ Avalanche Safety Refresher — Dec 13–14
Snow is finally on the horizon, and it’s the perfect time to get tuned up for the season. We’re running a 2-day Avalanche Safety Refresher Dec 13–14, ideal for anyone who’s taken a Level 1 or formal avalanche course and wants to sharpen skills before the backcountry fills in.
We still have a couple of open spots and would love to get a solid crew together!
